I am a novice and wanted to ask you, what are some camera and equipment's I can use for vlogging where I can see myself on camera? I see a lot of youtubers vlog without using a professional videographer, what are the best cameras with wide screens and can I use a notebook to do videos? thanks again

I have a Canon M50 and I am just learning about the tripods. For the Elgato I bought 85 dollars and I am not able to use it for my Canon. Any advice? QUESTION 2 : What tripod would you recommend in a beginner? I like the "ballhead" thing for the contraption,made a note of that. Thank you, and I just became an subscriber to your channel. Hey Moose, I enjoy the videos. I need help. I just bought my first tripod. Got a good deal ($300) on a Mefoto carbon road trip. I use a Sony a6000 and I've only used golrrilla pods before this tripod. I feel a bit in over my head now. Should I stick with it, or do some more research. I like the fact that it has a monopod. I do portraits, family, action, and street photography. Just looking to be more creative. Thanks.

Hey Moose! Loved the video. I need your advice, what is better in overall: a camera slider or a tripod dolly (wheels attached to a tripod)?
@MooseWinans
8 жыл бұрын
+Michael kushnir - In my experience a camera slider is much smoother than a tripod dolly. However, a dolly can go a longer distance than a slider, so it really depends on what you plan on shooting/recording. :)
@michael.kushnir
8 жыл бұрын
Ok, thanks a lot! I thought of buying a slider and dollies so I can mount both of them on my tripod so it will be easier to use instead of buying and using them apart. What do you think?
@MooseWinans

Michael kushnir - As long as the dollies have a brake, then using both together is a great idea, depending on the the shot you're going for. :)

Hi. I'm thinking about buying the manfrotto compact action tripod but i have the canon 70d with a 18-135mm lens. I'm not shure of the tripod can hold these 2 lovely things. Greats!
@MooseWinans
8 жыл бұрын
Hey Merijn, yes, it will hold that combo. However, if there is a steady wind, the tripod will struggle to keep things steady. Not that the tripod will fall over, but there will be vibration in the legs/head which may cause blurriness. Only way to overcome that is to use a larger, heavier tripod.

I know y'all aren't an advice forum, but I gotta ask... what's a good stabilizing solution for taking photos from ground level? Most tripods can get low to the ground, but I'm looking for a solution where the base is naturally compact and not too tall (so I'm not constantly lowering something). This is for night photos, so I need it secure (FYI, I've seen the bean bag options).

I'd recommend the Benro GoTravel or Manfrotto Go! tripods. They have a center column that can swing out and achieve awesome angles for macro. They are also quite sturdy and would be more than enough to handle your D5300 with 55-300mm attached.

+Ken C - Yep, it is on the smaller side. One of the benefits is that it makes it super compact and easy to carry for long treks. For landscapes, I tend to shoot low anyway, but agree that when fully extended you have to bend over a bit to get everything setup.

It's tough, especially since travel tripods tend to be lighter and more compact, while true landscape tripods tend to be more solid and robust. I would look at the Benro GoTravel tripods. They are well made, affordable and they fold up nicely.
