You're the BEST teacher EVER. So extremely articulate. So extremely concise. You teach more in depth, useful skills than all other woodworkers I have seen - in such a short vid to boot! Your tutorials DEFINITELY provide confidence in my abilities. Good on ya, Uncle Knackers. And I thank you with a grateful heart.

A trick for bent plug blades... Buy some cheap wall outlets. Here in the USA they can be found for $1-1.25 for a double plug. Then take your cut off wheel and make single plugs out of them and clean up the sharp edges. Now you can cover your blades safely while in storage for less than $0.75 each.

I used to work for a cabinet maker after school as a kid. I saw a bloke hurt himself with a router. They are one of those tools that don't look to dangerous. I'm surprised Makita or any other manufacturer have not taken the time to make it easier to change the bit and treat it just the same way you would do with an impact driver or an reciprocating saw; just insert the blade or bit in as it immediately locks into place and then you are good to go....

First, a safety faux pas. At 7:14 you’re messing with bits and the battery you’d previously removed is back in its place. Now, my story. Dad had a router. He was pretty good with it, so when I got my own home, I bought one too. And it scared the hell out of me, as it was large, heavy, very loud, and I knew that whatever you put near that blade you ain’t gettin back. So it sat on a shelf for years. But one day I had a brilliant idea: if you turn it upside down, and mount it in a table of sorts, you’ve got a shaper! Imagine my shock when, after a cursory internet search, I learned that I hadn’t invented the thing. Anyway, I built one, and I’ve found it easier to push the work into the tool rather than wrestling with the router. Thank you for this video, sir. It’s a good one.

Cheers mate and you're right, a router in a table works a treat 👍
