James, this was great! Thank you for sharing! Would love to see more of this kind of quick behind the scenes vids….. You really ought to pick up a couple of the MagMod XL starter kits. They are really good quality modifiers when you need a nice soft light, but have very tight spacing, or if the weather is bad, and you can’t use a large beauty dish. Wishing you a happy healthy and successful new year!

Came to the comment section to comment the ring flash idea. with the canon app you can do remote shooting too so it would have be easy to achieve. 2 ad 100 or 300 would do great instead of the ring flash because you could flip the screen out (ring flash would cover the screen) so they can have a look at their posing and facial expression before the photo is taken.

Great execution! I really appreciate these breakdowns showing creative solutions to grabbing unique photos. Team posters always stink. The composited posters are so boring, and even the ones done really well look gimmicky. I think this turned out great. The light looks like it falls off pretty evenly on their torsos, did you have to do a lot of adjustment, as I would think the lower down their body the more it would be overexposed as it gets closer to the strobes.
@QuantzPhoto
8 ай бұрын
I actually didn't have to make any exposure adjustments as you could hopefully tell from the right out of camera samples in the video.
