Experiences from the Sculptures are the 6th Annual Canadian Stone Carving Festival at the Museum of History. Check out what it takes to become a Stone Carver.
Over 40 sculptures were auctioned and over $11,000.00 donated for Habitat for Humanity. This two-day event is a unique opportunity to interact with professional carvers, artisans and enthusiasts as they turn blocks of limestone into one-of-a-kind works of art using traditional methods.

On the 10th, 11th and 12th of July 2015, stone carvers from Canada, the U.S. and Europe will congregate at the Canadian Museum of History to display their skills and creativity. Using hand tools only, participants will have 16 hours over two days to complete their pieces. The public is invited to enjoy the sights and sounds of this traditional work site and to engage with the carvers. On the afternoon of the 12th, all pieces will be auctioned to the public, with proceeds being donated to local charities.
