Great video and it takes a fair amount of time to keep[ on top of things. Bert's enclosure seems to struggle with plants, I think you have re stocked it once before as you lost a fair few. Hope the pothos lasts a bit longer for you.

Thanks very much mate. They do indeed. Yes I have had ups and downs with Berts. Its mostly the dimensions of the tank. As its narrow and tall it's hard to get light to the lower areas. I have another jungle dawn I'm going to be adding. Its all a learning curve. I think its getting there though 👍

@@JonsRainforestRoom learning curve it is. I just don’t seem to be able to keep grasses alive which is frustrating. Some are growing fine but anywhere near the warm end and they turn to crisp! Another JD should certainly help getting more light to tue bottom

@@speedymadr6 what sort of setup are they in mate? I know I love ferns but very rarely have much luck with them. Just added one to Castros tank and so far so good but I wouldnt be surprised if its a crisp in the morning 😆

@@JonsRainforestRoom So far tried in a corn snake, hognose and Pueblan. Work well away from the heat but turn to a crips. Just fitted out a red eye croc skink enclosure with a fern in it but temps are much lower and put it in the cool end, hopefully it will survive! Gets expensive replacing plants

Isopod isn't American, it's the name of the order of Crustaceans that includes woodlice, Oniscidea. It's a scientific clade.

Thanks. I always hear American videos just refer to them as isopods 😆

@@JonsRainforestRoom it is a bit vague that they are referred to as isopods given that it’s a gigantic group including those large marine species, it’s a bit like referring to a guinea pig as a mammal, it’s not incorrect but a tad vague. At least woodlice narrows it down more and only seen the name used to refer to terrestrial species, I’m not a fan of common names but it works.
