I love what they are intending to do, but they gotta stop announcing product 2 years before it hits consumers. By the time it arrives, the thrill is gone...

They talk about it early to allow customer input in the design phase. Which is a good trade off for early announcements. Most companies don’t allow any input during the creation process and can only do post production software updates to please the customer. So yea , it sucks we gotta wait but allowing customer input from day 1 and is worth it in my opinion

Hopefully we'll get it by Christmas or no later than the 2 quarter of 2025. I'm definitely getting one to join my other Behringer drum machines.

I always had the LM-1 emproms in my LD haha Looks nice but the feel of those hard buttons is why I love my LM-1 and LD so much. Buttons over pads haha

I’ve never liked the sound of the LD but I’d be excited if they did An LM1 or SC Drum Trax. I hate dealing with multiple tuned samples so the outputs per sound would be great.

I'm sure it will sell but probably not to me. I don't really have any must-have instruments (synths or otherwise) at the moment.

Yeah I’m not sure about this one. I’ve got so many drum machines and so many drum samplers already. It’s hard to imagine them bringing anything new or special to the table with this. I definitely don’t NEED it, but I’m going to wait until we can actually see a full demo of the feature set and workflow before making my final decision.

Exactly this will just be a trip down faux nostalgia and that's it. All these a million one synths of the same flavor in a different box.

We got options for a reason. If we all used the same sh*t and played it the same way. Music would suck for sure. Use what you thrive in. If it feels good , run with it

Sort of funny that the recommended video after this one is a video from Behringer from March 2020: "The Behringer team are on a mission to revive a piece of history, the Tears For Fears' LinnDrum classic drum machine." -- I guess that means they reverse engineered that unit specifically? I dunno.

It's not an Linn LM1. It just has the skin and has nothing to do with the original at all. A lot of these Behringer products are a million flavours of the same thing. Loads of monos with barely any difference getting people to spend thousands chasing a barely perceptible change in sound that is accessible anyways via vst or otherwise. Unless you're making music which requires a lot of hands on control in real time then Behringer is valuable but most of their synths don't even do midi CC so they're pretty backwards. I get that they're in the business to make money but do they seriously create synths that are value for money not really. They are just a nostalgia company.

I really only agree with one aspect of this entire comment. The fact that you must want to work hands on , which many enjoy doing. That’s half the joy of hardware. The mono’s definitely have differences and they are a solid value for the price.

@@toddsmithmusic3172 Dude they're a nostalgia company and they tapped into that market. Yes they're cheap but Behringer keep them cheap so you buy loads of their products. They know what they're doing that's why they don't bring out products that do more really. Why don't they bring out a product that's highly capable and cheap well they don't do that because it won't make them any money and will eat into their other products. They don't really care for musicians - they're in the market to make money like all the other companies and are just better at it.

You’re 100% welcome to any opinion you have my friend. I tend to layer the B synths with my digital at times and really enjoy the results. In the end we have tons of options for a reason and they are all viable and good in the end. It’s just personal preference and enjoyment. I hope you have a amazing day and stay safe.

Im not a big fan of the company. At all. Just a personal opinion. But HOT DAMN that clone looks FIRE. If it sounds good, and is different from the 707's drums, I'd swoop one up in an instant. Low key love their 909 clone, but I have an mc 707 already.

I own a Tesla 😂😂 I do t mix artist or the things I buy with “political” or person views on the band or company. I just buy what I enjoy and Behringer has offered a lot of that over the last few years. MC 707 is just a monster I continue to learn new things on to this day.
