Ordered one of these last week and it arrived yesterday, i've been using it a lot in the last 24 hours and it's a huge upgrade over the Neewer 48v PSU for using XLR Condenser microphones, I use a BM800 it was too quiet with the Neewer PSU, but with the UMC22 it's quality is much better, clearer and cleaner, it also doesn't buzz in my headphones when you turn up the gain, it also doesn't have as much noisy interference and stuff when generally using the mic. I recorded a couple videos and talked to some friends on Discord yesterday, much better quality. If you're on a budget like I am and even with a cheap XLR mic, definitely look into this one

Andrew M. Sheppard that's true but there are two things to consider here. Hello Podcastage, thank you for your review, it's helpful. I have a question for you. I am planning to get an condenser microphone for voice-overs, but was wondering what would be the best option: An Audio Technica AT2020 + Interface (like this one, U- Phoria UMC22), or just a plain Audio Technica AT2020 USB+. The reason I ask is because the sound card on my laptop is very basic, and I'm afraid I may not have as good a quality with the USB+ mic. What is your take on that? (I already watched your comparison video between XLR and USB mics) Thank you.

I bought a 6.35mm adapter and I connected it to the microphone's 3.5mm cable. Then, I connected it to the first line of the interface, which used for microphone. Turned on the phantom power off and on, still no signal coming from the mic. Do I need an XLR male to female cable to make it works? Thank you very much!

Rockin' that mix bro!!! :D Grieving the sticker. :( By the way, reliability is not much of an issue with Behringer's audio gear. They have thousands of X-32 mixers out in professional use every day. I use one on a daily basis and it has had zero problems now going on four years. And I know numerous people who use their various recording interfaces and have no issues. In my opinion, the gear which hurt their reputation was the Bugera line of guitar amps, which had an unusually high failure rate. I also have one of their old Eurodesk series mixers which has been in constant service as a PA mixer and in audio for video editing in our second system for over ten years and it is still going strong. Too bad that the Bugera debacle has damaged their name.

Great review, have you had a chance to test it with active pickups? i wanna know if it can handle the signal and not clip like first gen scarletts Edit: I watched your UM2 review, you used active pickups but you plugged in mic input, was that because the instrument input was clipping?

Hey bro I bought the UMC22 & XM8500 yesterday after watching your video(Thanks a lot). It is working well but the Signal and Clip LEDs aren't glowing even after screaming. Although, it is recording my voice perfectly in the computer. Also, I don't see much difference after switching ON/OFF the Phantom Power, it literally makes no difference in the audio quality or the output. Is there something wrong? Do I need to connect a headphone to see the LEDs glowing? or should I just return it? There might be a fault, what do you say?

Great video !!! If my computer only has USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 protocols, will I be able to use it with the provided USB-B to USB-A 2.0 cable ?

This might be a silly question, but I could use this interface for a mix minus setup for podcasting, correct? I can plug my mixer into the mic input using 1/4" and then just take the audio from the computer straight to the mixer. I bought that Sabrent adapter right before i watched your vid and it really sucks. The audio from my mic to the computer sounded distorted and unclear. I hope this interface will resolve the solution?

I literally can't get my um2 to work with discord when I have the mic and headset plugged in. Does it not have enough power?

Hey Podcastage! Just a quick question... Do you know where you could get an adapter to connect headphones to the interface?

hello there! Really nice viedo. I was searching for an interface to record drums with about 6 mics but my budget is about 150$. My lexicon omega has only 2 outputs so i can't record that many channels and mix them sepperately. Do you have something in mind?

Hello, I was looking at getting a SM57 and I saw this video for this. I am trying to stay for the best for the budget in terms of mixers/interfaces. Is this good or do I need to spend more on different ones? I will be doing streaming for my gaming setup. Thank you.
