What's wrong with you blacks if you don't want to be black pray and ask God to turn you white like he did moses sister because she was envious o him you blacks want to be white that's envious of white people God doesn't like that so ask God will he turn you white see what he will do for you. Tell him what you are telling utube . Anyone on utube hating because they are black may God be with you and change your color to white people on utube can't help you pray and tell God you don't like being black and he will change your color he is the only one that can help you with your black color people in this world can't help you only God can he gave you the color he wanted you to have black. If you are not satisfied talk to the master in Heaven.

Dear people! Ignorant, disturbing, disrespectful and unnecessary comments will be DELETED🙄! This video is not for all you people that want to voice your ignorant opinions because quite frankly I don't care what you think of me or other darker skinned women. I made this video to encourage my fellow dark-skinned women/men. And if you want to say something positive to lift and encourage what I am saying then feel free to do so. However if you have something negative to say that we've probably already heard before have several seats. When I find your negative comment I will just delete it. I will not even engage in a discussion with you because I am tired of you and your ignorant comments. Do not waste your time or the energy on your fingers to write anything at all! ✌🏿✌🏿✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️✌🏿️

I love you, I have the same issue but I'm biracial and tanned skinned but I'm quite dark to be biracial in this stupid society, I just wish I'm not biracial 'cause I'm dealing with it alone and there's pretty much no representation of dark skinned biracial like me in the media. I just wanna say thank you and you've helped me go through this even though its just a little and it may seem like almost nothing to you. Keep going and don't let anyone say that you're not beautiful

I love this... I can relate. I'm "medium skinned" and I'm half mexican half black. where I lived, in my mexican background city, I grew up with ugly comments about being too dark, being dark skinned, "cute for a dark girl", called me "negrita" "if i was lighter...." When I moved to a "black city" for college everyone said "your beautiful" "light , red, mixed, foreign, good hair" ect. It pissed me off and still does today, because I see how peoples standard of beauty change through different cultures. The praise i get in comparison to my hometown bothers me so much. Colorism is real, and it needs to stop. I never take those compliments. It is some bullshit, I want pro black to be trending topic by like 2020, the world needs a change! Great video. Love from the U.S

+Lauren Labella Hi Lauren! Wow I can only imagine what that must have felt like! It is so ridiculous how people are stuck on what colour a person has on their skin. I am so sorry you have had to go through that, but these experiences is what is going to make you stronger, always keep your head up! The world definitely needs a change and the perception and the definition of beauty needs a change, people should focus on the beauty on the inside and what kind of a person they want to be, rather than judging people all the damn time. 💕💕

I love this. This is honestly the truth if you are a mixed person. Im half black half indian and when im around my indian family members i feel like i stand out and im never good enough but when im around my black family members they call me "foreign" "beautiful" "good hair" too. It stresses me out so much. I def hope pro black starts trending soon cause this has to stop.

I think I'm medium toned, not light, and not dark. We were taught to be proud of being black, but it wasn't something constantly talked about. As a child, i realized i didn't fit into the USA/Western ideal beauty, and i was fine with that. I liked that i was different basically. It wasn't until i got older that i realized some of these concepts hurt other black women/ppl. So, though i don't feel like it effects me personally, i still empathize with my ppl/culture. And because i speak passionately about it, ppl think i've been effected by it, and i'm "butthurt" because it happened to me, when it didn't.
@DivineDiversity
8 жыл бұрын
+byoung4eva1 Yeah, obviously people have really mixed experiences when it comes to colorism and etc. Some hurt more than others in this case, because my mom always thought me to love myself I was not sad that I wasn't like everyone else but I always wondered why they questioned my looks. I just want to be an advocate for younger girls that might have any issues because of these situations and I love that you are proud to be black and that you still speak about it passionately, in the end that will help others. It's great, and honestly there is nothing better than being comfortable in your own skin.

EVERY RACE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Omg hello sister! I live in Sweden too and I find it very difficult to blend in here, especially when things are getting worse everyday here and when people are becoming more racist. I sometimes think that I'm not enough or that I'm ugly because the swedish media tells me ALL THE TIME that I need to be blond, white, have straight hair or have blue eyes and I have neither of them... Sometimes I feel very depressed about it but when I saw your video it kind of gave me some confidence and made me happy for who I am as a dark-skinned women❤ Thank you!

Awesome commentary. I am from the Caribbean and racism is still prevalent to a certain extent where the light colored persons are still seen as the superior race... Colonialism has certainly taken a toll on Caribbean history. In certain places being black means that your not pretty and then the worst thing you can possibly hear is oh wow you're pretty for a black girl.... Like that's just absurd.....
@DivineDiversity
8 жыл бұрын
+vkihvh Thank you so much dear. I have actually heard about that and it is really sad how we are still letting colonialism take over our mentality. We need more people to question this so called "ideal of beauty" because once we start doing that we start to break free from all of this slowly but surely. And I totally agree with you on the "you're pretty for a black girl" comment its an insult wrapped up in a "compliment". As long as you "stay woke" that's really all that matters at the end of the day!

I have always loved dark skinned women no matter what the culture or ethnicity. I do not actually have "one" standard of beauty so I have never been able to say one woman is more beautiful than another. Also I have no standard of how tall a person should be. I have known people who have a "set standard" of beauty that is extremely precise. However that is not how I view women. Enjoyed your video! Liked and subscribed.

Hi Vanessa. You and I are about the same color but my underlying color is yellow and it looks as if yours is a red undertone. I grew up in the northwest region of the US in the 1950's. I was born in 1946 and just because I grew up in the north, that too black, too dark skinned etc was just as bad here as in the south. I've noticed that all of my very close friends are dark like me. It's a shame before the living God, Jehovah that we are still measured by our skin tone😞. BUT! I've always used moisturizers, toners and never sleep in your makeup. So now that I'm 70, I look 20 years younger that our 'lighter skinned' friends. So, be happy that now the masses want to look like us.😊. Too bad!!! Keep it real. 💄💅🏾🍒

You are very welcome! I live in a VERY diverse city and it is important to me to try to understand what is on the hearts and minds of my neighbors. I would introduce you to my son in a heart beat.

Thank you...but it is hardly "open minded" to recognize beauty! :) And, more importantly, you are so obviously highly intelligent , well read and educated. I have more thoughts about this but need to take care of a household matter right now, but i am SO GLAD you made this video. You stated the TRUTH about all kinds of folks wanting to keep changing how God made them!

Hii Vanny, I just met your channel and I really liked, you said that you come from guiné bissau. Have you a portuguese channel? I mean the representation of african girls that speak portuguese on youtube are very low, would be great if you create a portuguese channel 😘
@DivineDiversity

Hi Herika! No I actually don't have a portuguese channel and I totally agree with you there is a very low representation of us "lusofonos". I have thought about doing some of my videos in portuguese but I didn't know if there were any that were interested in that but now that you have showed interest I think I might actually do it. O meu portugues não é perfeito, mas posso tentar fazer um video em portugues para ver se recebo qualquer tipo de resposta das mulheres lusofonas. Obrigada pela atencao, Beijinhos
