Am Glad I still have my father in my life, whenever I have life challenges he advise me on how to tackle them & if it's modern day challenges my brothers & friend got me. The more I engage with guys daily the more I realise that most guys actually don't have REAL FRIENDS or some sort of masculine brotherhood, they have drinking mates & people to just keep them company around them. Seems like this "Male Loneliness Pandemic" is a real thing

For the most part of my life as a man, it’s been purely challenging. Many layers of challenges that need to be tackled and sometimes the weight becomes unbearable. I appreciate the lessons I’ve learnt but I’m sure we can all agree that at some point, it can greatly help to just sit and rest a bit. Even just for a second. I’ve acquired some unhealthy ways of coping which to me is a lot better than sinking into the bottomless pit of depression. Maybe that’s my inner strength at this point in time but I can say that the war within never ends. Life as a man is tough 😂 I wish our sisters knew. Kunzima. And some of us never had the luxury of having a father figure around. But I know no one is coming to save me. Yes I had no father but my own destiny is within my own hands to write. Appreciate you making this video. Helps us lot to get up, pick up the weight and KEEP MOVING FORWARD. Even if the place is slow, we JUST have to keep moving nonetheless.

It’s very difficult for both men and women to be vulnerable. I’ve experienced my vulnerability being weaponised too. Sometimes being vulnerable & opening up seems to do more damage. This is a tough one 😞 I wish there were more clear answers available to us all..

being vulnerable doesn’t make you less of a man and it’s important to open and speak up so you can get help from others to make yourself better and stronger in all aspects. very insightful and informative video brother, God bless you and everyone else going through it right now. God will help you and bless you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Bro been watching conversations with professionals in this field. They have data that talking and being vulnerable for men is not effective. It helps when we have those kinds spaces we also have an element of work, could be fixing cars, talking at gym/boxing but our therapy requires to have in it action simultaneously

Is there sufficient safe space for men to be vulnerable? I become worried for my dad, brothers, uncles and male acquaintances because the world continues to be unkind towards men 💔

You are so right, because it's so difficult to assist men because they expect to be looked up to naturally, they want to be 'highly' respected and women have learned to operate with that highly respected being, when that figure breaks down we don't know how to operate

No we can't afford to be, you do that then you've just given whoever you were vulnerable to a weapon to destroy you. My advice, get in a taxi or sit to a stranger on a public place, cry your heart out and move on. You'll never be haunted by a "ungamuboni anje" ghost cause a stranger can't gossip about you
