Thank you. Came because I've been this using washing machine for a few months in a house where I rent a room. Was having issues with it recently because it wasn't spinning. Found the solution; but saw your video so I thought I might as well watch an in-depth review so I can get familiar with it. This is the exact model they have in my house. Oh, and congrats. Hi, nice review! Beko washing machines are actually very good because they offer a wide range of programmes and wash fairly well. Even their most basic ones (as shown in this video), are quite good. Just wanted to give a little bit of advice (if you don't mind). Firstly, I would recommend to use programmes at 40 degrees or above (for non-delicate items). This is because higher temperatures can prevent detergent/mould/mildew build up and kill bacteria. Secondly, the best detergent to use would be powder detergent. Gels and capsules can build up over time and cause horrible smells, hence giving poor washing performance and reducing the quality of your machine. Thirdly, make sure you know your programmes! This goes for everyone! People think that all the programmes on their machine can take a full load (amount specified on your machine model). This isn't true. For example, a cottons cycle can take a full load according to your machine, whereas the synthetics may not. To find out, refer to your instruction manual. Finally, with the filter you were talking about in the video, you don't need to open it frequently, I would say about every 3 to 6 months. Just check your pockets for anything before loading machine and you should be fine. Thanks for reading, and enjoy your machine!

Hello, can you use a liquid detergent in this machine? If so would it go in the same compartment as for powder detergent? Thanks
@discreet7867
4 жыл бұрын
@@shuhenabegum890 Hi! Sorry for the late reply. With regards to your question, the answer is most likely no. You can't/shouldn't ever use liquid detergent in your washing machines drawer. You should put it directly in the drum using the detergent cup it comes with. It is usually on the bottle of the detergent. What will happen is the detergent will build up in your machine and will cause smell, mold and mildew. Not to mention it won't go on clothes, so they won't be clean. Sister, may I ask what brand of liquid are you using/going to use? Thanks.

@@discreet7867 that’s nonsense- why do they supply a separate little divider to place in the drawer when using liquid if you can’t use liquid? I’ve been using liquid in my Samsung via the drawer for 8 yrs with no problems whatsoever! These Beko also have a drum cleaning programme to keep the machine sanitised , that way you can wash even on cold if you want to. In Australia they only use cold washes .

Brilliant, thank you. My washing machine packed up about a month ago, after 15 years. I was looking for a basic, no frills replacement and have just ordered the 6kg Beko, from a local, independent sales place, which they're due to fit this Friday. I've been told by several people that they have great after sales service. It is very similar to this one, same look/controls etc. It cost me £259, including fitting and carting away my old one. I really wanted one with a Quick Wash/Half Wash capacity, so this fits the bill perfectly, as I'm a single person household. Can't wait to get back to washing my own clothes again, as I've been spending a fortune in launderettes and having to visit friends to wash stuff. This should pay for itself in no time! Thanks again! 😉😉👍👍

Synthetics 40 is what I use for most things, and that takes about 2 hours from start to finish. (unless I have a load of dirty towels, which I usually wash on Cottons 90) Cotton cycles ALWAYS take the longest. If you have a large load, the Down Care program gives you more water, but spin speed is reduced to 1000rpm. The Eco cycles are designed to wash at lower temperatures, for a longer time period. The idea is to give similar results to a higher temperature cycle, so Eco 40 should give similar results to Cottons 40, but may only heat up to 30c, saving you energy, and ultimately, money. Haven't you read the manual ffs?

@@dragonsue the eco cycles wash at slightly reduced temperature if you select 60 it will heat no more than 55°c As the the eco 40 it will wash around 35°c the machine can take a full load on the cottons and eco cotton how ever the eco is slightly different it will use less water so you can add slightly less detergent as it will be more concentrated and does take around 145- 240 minutes Normal cottons cycle are shorter and will actually reach temperature you selected but use more water and more electricity roughly takes around 90 - 180 minutes
@hermanmunster3358
Жыл бұрын
I think it's supposed to wash at 40c on that cycle I believe, but for a longer time period, thus supposedly giving the results of a 60c wash. Personally, I would use the cotton 60 with prewash, but if your clothes are not that dirty, use powder detergent in the nain wash section of the drawer only. At least then you know you've had a hot wash which helps to kill bacteria etc. You will use more water doing it that way though, but there's no heat during the PRE wash, so you won't use much more electricity.

@hermanmunster3358
Жыл бұрын
I think you'll find it is 1 TO 7kg, not 1 point 7kg. It's not a fekking Pink Barbie washing machine, and it's Beko, not Mattel ffs. 1kg is the capacity for the daily quick cycle, or for fabrics such as nylon. 7kg is the maximum capacity for cotton cycles, as cottons are heavier fabrics. So one pair of jeans will weigh the same as about 10 pairs of cycling shorts, but 10 pairs of cycling shorts, with chamois inserts, will take up the same space in the drum as one pair of jeans, for example. And the daily quick cycle is designed, not for a full load, but to wash just a couple of lightly soiled items that you may need in a hurry, such as a pair of jeans, a top, underpants and socks. Handy if you're staying over with your mistress, while her hubby is away on business, for example. You can stick your clothes in to wash, whilst giving her a good seeing to. But you better pray she has a dryer, or it's gonna be a long night. 🤣😜🙄

@@dragonsue Daily quick takes about 7 hours. It keeps stopping and starting. Have to turn it off and turn it on again at least 30 times to get one load of washing done. Then you have to spin it 8 times so that the laundry is not soaking dripping wet. It is really the worst washing machine that has ever been invented. AS for the other cycles on the machine forget even trying to use them. Unless you want to spend 3 or 4 days trying to get 1 load of washing done. I have had my machine replaced 4 times by Beko and every machine has been the same. I have ended up having to hand wash all my clothes all the time. That is the only way that I am able to get 1 load of laundry done in a day. I would never advise anyone to buy a Beko. @Lil Dee Daily quick takes about 7 hours. If you want a machine that actually washes clothes in less than a day then go for another brand.

I've just got this washer today My old washing machine (Bush WMNB712EW) tripped the electrics and then ceased to function and it was only just over 2 years old! Turns out my cousin's family had the same make and model and that developed a very similar fault also and at around the same age, to the point of it nearly causing a fire! I've reported the issue directly to Argos because that is potentially dangerous! Anyway that older machine, was noisy as anything, it washed well but was clearly a cheaply made machine This new machine is MUCH quieter and I hope to get better longevity out of it than the Bush one... wouldn't mind but I take care of my appliances, for it to fail so prematurely and with my cousin in such a dangerous fashion is unacceptable

I sourced a 7kg Beko mid price machine (with the countdown timer) for a mate of mine, back in 2015, and it was 2nd hand then. It had been used to wash horse blankets, so needed a damn good interior clean, but once cleaned, it looked like new. My mate runs a greasy spoon cafe, so does a lot of washing, table cloths, tea towels, dish cloths etc, on top of his normal laundry. And as I write this, it is still going strong. The fins in the drain pump perished, but a new pump only cost £25, and was easy to swap out. And he only paid £60 for the machine to begin with. Not bad, £85 for 7 years of quite heavy, DAILY use. 👍

I've had this model for 5 or 6 years and although it washes well, on the whole I wouldn't buy it again. One thing is the noise from the electromagnetic motor when it switches down in speed or stops. The sound is unnerving. If I had the choice again I'd go for a mechanical washing machine. Another thing is the minimum spin speed is 600rpm. Even at that speed the machine seems ready to slide across the floor. Recently I've been turning the washing machine off before it gets up to 600rpm. If it offered 300 or 400rpm there'd be more peace of mind. If I was looking for a new machine I'd go for a mechanical motor to avoid the discordant noise changes with the Beko 1.7KG.

I feel like mine is ready to drill into the floor while sliding across my kitchen, its annoying tbh, i now do the same with turning it off before it gets that far.

I have this machine, but I don't know what you mean when you say "electro-magnetic motor" The motor is a conventional 'brush' type motor, which are naturally noisier than brushless motors. (what do you mean by "mechanical motor"?) All motors, or any product with moving parts is mechanical! Mine stays planted on the floor, and doesn't move at all, it is stood on a concrete floor, but if yours is on floorboards, slide a sheet of 1/2 inch MDF or plywood underneath to give it an even surface to rest on.. Also, check to make sure the feet are levelled correctly. Use a spirit level if you must. And avoid small loads, or washing single items, as these can gravitate towards one side of the drum while spinning, causing an imbalance, severe vibration, and a LOT of noise. Did you remove the transit bolts before installation? If not, then that may be the problem. If all this seems like too much of a pulava, then get a proper fitter to install appliances in future, instead of having someone do it that doesn't have a clue.
