Beladakuppe Mahadeshwara Temple is a religious centre located in the Hediyaala range and in the core area of Bandipur Tiger Reserve.
It is 84 km from Mysore and 218 km from Bangalore. There are two ways from Mysore to here.
First one from Mysore at the hand post you have to go to the the left by the Saragooru route and the Gundlupet Road on Begur to the right. Hediyaala is the local point for both paths.If right for H D Kote route and it's left for the Gundlupet route.
Both the roads are good and the Gundlupet road is our choice. with Google Google Map Location available it is not difficult to get there.
The temple is allowed to open religiously in a subtle zone and it is allowed to to hold a grand fair every year.
After checking out 4.5 km from Hediyaala, the forest check post gets and there is no permissible use of of any kind of plastics and cameras. It will be left inside after the inspection.
To get to the temple in the 5 kilometre distance of the forest check post you have to walk through the dense forest.
The lush green trees, deer, peacocks, wild Bear and various Birds give the tourist an impression the rustic jungle in the vicinity gives tourist the opportunity to experience of Safari in a private vehicle.
It is important to note that the animals should not be disturbed and not to be behave indecently, such as shouting.

After completing the 5 km you get the Sri Mahadeshwara Temple the surroundings of a temple surrounded by Woodlands and we can see animals like deer, peacock and langoore.
the environment around the temple makes tourist very happy. The temple in a quiet environment and is guarded by the forest department.
The forest camp is located there and observed the moment of tourist. if one goes inside a tourists can stay for up to 2 hours.
There is also a beautiful pond on the right side of a temple,where animals and birds come to drink water. The surroundings of the hill and grazing animals behind the temple are beautiful.
It is believed that madeshwara temple is a very famous among the devotees of Mahadeshwara.
With the intention of reducing the traffic of tourist and not disturbing animal moments the forest department does not allow Sunday and government holidays, this means that you are allowed between 9 in the morning to 4 in the evening.
Only cars are allowed inside the forest area once you reached the entrance.
Excluding emergency days and government holidays and here, there is no charges.
As tourists and devotees it is our duty to follow the guidance of forest department and our first priority should be to respect the isolation of animals and birds and to maintain the cleanliness and sensitivity of our place without disturbing animals.
