Clingons is what we affectionally call those pesky floats with lines that get stuck in the protruding bits on the hull, and they are not unique to Maine. They often appear on the starboard bow. Pmci is an attempt to make them seem useful to sailors in Maine, where they are particularily abundant and where the currents are considerable.
