Having you own tower to ring in must have been cool!!!!

What Rubbish Bells! I have rung 12s at Halifax, Oldham and Bradford, and they are amazing, unlike these......I also remember seeing this part of the documentary, and yes.....I concur with the presenter! XD

What I think really lets the ring down, is that the tenor is out of tune with the rest of the ring. It's at 691.5Hz, when it should be at around 710.5Hz (like the great 12 at Lockington in Leicestershire).

None of them really fit in with each other but the tenor does stand out a bit, I agree. I do think that with the quirky bells and strange tower it does all make for an enjoyable ring even if the bells are strange.

691.5Hz is a GORGEOUS frequency, a moderately flat F The bells poor tonal quality is little to do with their strike note but the tuning of the partials of any particular bell with itself Though if you want to argue the bells are out of tune with each other, consider the 5th. If it matched the tenor it would be 1383Hz yet it is 1404Hz, which is double 702Hz which is a moderately sharp F Similarly the 10th is 907.5Hz, an EXTREMELY sharp A that is almost B flat, when it should be a moderately flat A ~870Hz
