What a Blessing to have Met My Alchadaris Bell Baluka. I called Her Gem. 9 Pups to choose from! All trying to put their paws on my shoulders. All looked the same. But that one who stood and Just looked at me!. We both knew It had to Be Her I chose. Many tryed to steal Her,and I prayed God would Take Her, if anyone planned to . We walked and every few steps shed look me in the Eye to ask where we were Going, always walked just beside Me. I had 10 wonderful years with my Gem. (Beautiful Gem Pendent, ). My Best Friend , My God Send. Got me through some v lonely years. As did the Bell and sabastian films. I REMEMBER a man came running after us and was crying, and told me He Had 4 who pulled him on a slay, when He was a Boy. And we both remembered the Bell x Sabastian Films. Our Dogs do a Good Job getting us through this Wicked world. THEY ARE heavenly Dogs. So loving.

I'm 58 years old. This...and Robinson Crusoe...reminds me of school summer holidays....kids tv in a morning, followed by Test Match cricket, with Richie Benaud and Jim Laker commentating...me & my bro would watch the first few overs, then go out and set up a wicket in the garden (usually the dustbin) and play cricket. Great days. I still pass that house now and think of those times.

Believe me, I am. Precious moments and TV shows of this era are frozen in a time that belongs then and not now and I accept that as much as I accept that there are precious moments on THIS timeline. @KG UK What you say is true, and it's really sad. Kids at my school weren't raised as I was, they are materialistic and disconnected from reality. You know, it's all about how the parents raise the child. I'm 14 and both my parents made sure that my childhood wasn't spent watching stupid tv shows that kids nowadays watch. Thay made me developed a love for literature from a young age. I watched all the same movies and series my parents watched when they were kids. And I spend most of my time playing outdoors. We didn't even have a tv for a long time, we watched movies on an old computer. Honestly, I completely agree with you. It's really sad. I had not heard this in many years until today - probably not since about 1972 when I was 11 although I remembered loving the show and that the theme tune had been sung by the little boy who played Sebastien. As a cynical oldish man I was surprised by just how emotional I felt hearing it again. I remembered the characters as their faces appeared though the villain- Norbert? - does not appear. I would not like to see the show again in case it was not as good as I remember but these images and the lovely song will be enough. Thanks

Watched Belle & Sébastien 2nd series in the late 60s on B&W TV. The theme song 'L'oiseau' stuck with me for life, glad I rediscovered all this here on YT. It later became known that Bruno Victoire Polius from Les Poppys actually sang L'Oiseau, not Mehdi El Glaoui. Of course I was a huge fan of Les Poppys too and actually saw them live around 1969/1970, that was before I became a rocker lol.

This beautiful song never fails to evoke precious happy childhood memories spent with my sister, who is sadly no longer here. My eyes flood with tears each and every time I hear this song, something which seems to happen to so many people. The music is wonderfully haunting and the TV series a gentle and warm reflection of the era I grew up in and so glad I did. 1960's black and white cold war, European children's series. So poignant to see this now, especially the pictures of the dog and the little boy, and the song.

I just watched the movie B & S filmed in 2013. Then I came here to search out the original theme song of the TV serie and yes, I remembered the tune after decades. Children and animals are not able to be evil ... like we adults every now and then.

Beautiful, you're so beautiful That upon seeing you I loved you Beautiful, who I love so much Since long ago I waited for you Do you remember The time when you came Each night to meet me You passed by So beautiful I dreamed of it You know, my friend I loved you Beautiful, oh my beautiful You went away Without listening to me Beautiful, I'll wait for you For a long time You're so beautiful Beautiful, who I love so much I will wait for you While dreaming of you Then one day One day you'll pass by Close to me My beautiful, you'll come Then we'll take If you want That day A beautiful trip for two Beautiful, if you want We will be two We will we two Beautiful, if you want We will be two We will be two

First time I've seen these images since the early 70's amazing how the brain retains memories of such things, I remember every person shown in these stills. Loved this show, brilliant - Thanks for the memory

A lovely song and the series was one of my favourites. I had a pair of tortoises as pets and named them Belle and Sebastien.

Oh my god. With this movie I can travel in the past, in the past of my childhood, ..in a world with people that do not live any more...but together with this lovely song, ikons, .. and all my loving person I can live today..... After 45 years I bought just the same Belle.... young puppie Pyrenee.... Everything comes one day

Aujourd'hui j'ai 18 ans, ma maman m'as mis dans Belle et Sébastien quand j'étais très jeune. Quelque part a moi aussi ça me rappelle mon enfance. Que d'émotion en réécoutant cette magnifique chanson. Merci Mehdi El Glaoui (Qui étais adorable a l'époque) & Surtout Cécile Aubry. ♥.

The tinkling sound at the end is an obsidian wind chime that my housemate brought back from USA because I took care of her cat ("Bea") later on I adopted Bea. Le tintement à la fin est un carillon éolien en obsidienne que ma colocataire a ramené des États-Unis parce que je me suis occupé de son chat ("Bea") plus tard, j'ai adopté Bea.
