Mill is looking good! Belsaw advertised them as low HP sawmills and they did come with skip tooth blades that required a lot less HP to pull. I’ve ran mine on half the amounts of inserts before and it does make a difference. I just used old worn out inserts that were just along for the ride so the blade tension wasn’t affected. Thanks for the videos! You’ve helped a bunch of folks. It’s mowing season here and the radiator blew apart on the Farmall, so I’m taking a break.

I've ran skipped tooth blades as well, they worked very well. Looking at installing a Detroit 8v71 from a boat as it runs CC. Sorry to hear about the farmall, it's gotten quite expensive to get them repaired or replaced. I'm just trying to share the little bit of knowledge I have about the mill with others who may have the same problems. Hope you get the tractor up again. We love watching you run your mill. Thanks Dave

I commented on the arbor shaft bearing other day ,but for my belsaw I just found a better bearing that's double the load rating & the inner race is alot wider ... I just picked the bearings up today so I'm gonna throw them on later... NTN brand bearing , part # WPS112GRC , u can look a pic up online. Same style bearing just heavier

Hi, your mill setup looks great. Thanks for the video's. I have a Bellsaw D-1148. I have not been able to find any info on it. It is about 60 feet long and seems to be built like a m-14 but maybe heavier and appears to function much the same with similar looking parts but with a larger arbor and wide belt, chain and sprocket drive for the carrage instead of all belts. My dad sawed with it for years with a IH 1086. Unfortunately I never got to run it with him, I am just learning how to use it and am in the process of making sure it is level. What is the down- loadable manual you are referring to?
