The belt with the bolts and zip ties remind me of my carpenter days. Usually, the best carpenters had ragged equipment, Johnny Newboots always had new/nice equipment.

Thanks Very Much! Were getting a late start this frosty morning here its like -12 below Fahrenheit here and while our equipment does stubbornly start we humans are dragging and creaking like old rusty wheels when it gets this cold....bad news is its gonna be like this and worse all week with daytime highs only in the single digits ! Oh well such is our life....I always say any day out in the forest is better than any day working in a city. Thanks Again for showing us how you rig up and sharing your knowledge.

Thanks Bjarne, Great video, as always. It's great to see how the people that use the gear every day come up with the modifications on equipment that make it work properly. So much stuff being made these days by people that don't use the gear every day with the result a lot of the stuff isn't up to the job. Maybe you should get talking to a manufacturer about designing a fallers belt?

Been wondering about your axe carrying set up for a while. Really slick mod that works well. The axe set up is not something we use in Scotland much for some reason probably sone decided it wad dangerous!! But I am going to get my guys to try it. Much more practical and usefull than lugging a sledge hammer about the hill. Keep safe!

Haha....now I’m glad I kept on looking....for this video here....sometimes all you need is a little something.....to make carrying gear around with you just a bit more easier,...I use my axe for processing up limbs on a downed tree.....rather than use up fuel....I’ll need for something bigger than I expected.........I hook up a strap or piece or rope onto my Axe an sling it over my head where it hangs down my back....same thing with my saw....

I thought about it years ago but the amount of work divided by time to make one wasn’t work it. Plus how many could I really sell was questionable. I’m brainstorming on a custom fallers axe right now. One major issue is the large up front cost to get the cost-per-unit down, to be feasible
