Hi, I just watched a video you posted on pulley size calculation. thank you for sharing. If you would, I need guidance. I'm helping someone install a DIY microhydro system. We're using a multiple pulley system to achieve required rpm at alternator. Three shafts and four pulleys. The main driver needs to spin at 65 rpm to achieve 1300rpm at alternator pulley. The higher the electric load on the alternator the more resistance and it slows the system down. My question is, does installing a larger driver pulley help overcome the braking force that the alternator exerts when under load? or is my only option increasing force/power at driver pulley? Would you mind if I sent you an email regarding the problem I'm facing? I understand if you don't reply. Thank you anyway

If pulleys are 1/1 driven is motor speed, but what difference does it make to have larger pulleys say twice as big as original? Does it give same speed but more torque? How is pulley diameter determined?

Yes it gives same speed but more torque Because radius increases Torque = ForcexRadius Nice question brother

Hi - I'm 79 and having difficulty carrying my laundry basket up the cellar stairs. At my age, I couldn't learn a lot of technical stuff. Can anyone just tell me what I'd need to buy? I'm hoping to use a clothesline with a 2 or 3 ft 'dropline' with a hook on it to attach to a laundry sack of dry/light clothes, about 12 - 15 lbs. It will travel a 12' rise and 12' run. Thank you.

Look man... I'm all confused, help me out here.. I have a motor that spins 3,750 rpm. My conpresor pump has a 10" dia. Pulley, I want to Spin my Compresor between 900 and 1,000 rpms. What Diameter does my drive pulley on my motor needs to be??...

Pretty early on you said, driving pulley RPM is 1400, then you said the motor RPM is given, and always given. Later in the video you said the driving RPM the driving pulley is the same as the motor RPM. I watched a bunch of videos on this, yours is the only one that says the motor RPM is the same as the driving pulley. Thanks Sir, you certainly earned a subscriber!¡ Thanks for answering me... :)😊

I wish Yoûtube would let you correct older videos, they only let you delete sections of older videos not add to it. They were forced to do that to get rid of copyright Material in peoples videos. :/ Great video, many would have trouble making a video in their native language, much less a second or third language, great presentation...
