I enjoy your videos very much. I’ve been working on a grazing program for about 3 years,with a lot of complications , primarily drought . I’d love to get to talk with you sometime. I watch all your videos., even though I’m in East Texas. Keep up the good work. I pray your son makes a complete recovery 🙏🏻

Funny. I worked in the financial arena. I have been wanting to start a cattle herd using adaptive grazing.

Totally agree that Jim’s book #kickthehayhabit is a game changer in cow/calf operation.

I'm so glad you use the small paddocks systems. I've seen it do wonders for pastures.

You can name them. You care for them and it is a way to identify them too. Sometimes even easier to use a name than the number.

I try to avoid naming them but so many have one anyway. Hard not to get attached

What are your thoughts on the future of the cattle industry here in the states? Do you sell into "traditional" markets? How do the Corriente cross and the South poll do there?

Isn’t tall fescue toxic when Graz too low?
@nandisaand5287

Some cows are sensitive to the endophyte in fescue. Those cows "go to town", as Greg Judy says, either to the sale barn or the freezer. Eventually you end up with a herd that does fine on fescue.

Also, the toxin is most toxic at the bottom of the plant. This is why you want “just the tip” of the plants. The tips are also the most nutritious. So as long as you don’t graze the fescue too short it generally isn’t an issue.

My question: Why is everyone on KZitem now saying "folks" when they mean "people"? Especially in the third person objective case: "I see/hear a lot of folks..."
