The Benchmade 940 has been around for, dare I say, longer than some of you have been alive. There is a good reason for that. It is a design masterpiece and remains unchanged sans a different blade steel. My first one had 154CM steel and was a nice little knife. However, when they changed to S30V, that was a game changer. I loved that combo. Then I stumbled upon a nice-looking version with M4 steel. So, being the constant tinkerer I am, I did a major switcheroo and put the black liners and lock in my Green handle along with the new M4 blade. Now I have what could very well be the best Every Day Carry knife I've ever had. It fits in every pants pocket and with the added screws to the "Show Side" it is that much easier to remove from my pocket because those little screws sticking up give my thumb something to snag onto making it easier to pinch the knife and remove it from my pocket. I highly recommend this little hack for anyone who has one of these.
This is another video where I expound on the virtues of the 940.
