I have one of these yachts, just sailed it from Australia to Indonesia and its a beast, rock solid performer, strong and reliable.

@@bradleywright4413 Hi Brad I bought it about 2.5 years ago, it had been up on the beach in Cyclone Debbie with minimal damage but they butchered the windlass and stanchions getting it off the beach. I spent a year living on it in Mooloolaba and fixing the cosmetics as well as installing nav systems and a full NMEA backbone, redoing some wiring, building a hard top and davit system, putting solar on top of that along with battery bank and inverter etc, 260L/hr. 2Hp water maker fixed to hard top and modular so as to have easy access to it in the stern locker. Sailed with the family 5 of us to Darwin and then 4 of us across to Indo It still has the original sails on it and still needs cosmetic upgrades and internal floors redone and some revarnishing of cabinetry, so really just cosmetic. We replaced all the hatch lenses and main window lenses, fixed all gel coat scratches when on the hard, replaced a side port window that was cracked in the retrieval. There were some small issues with traveller rollers being worn out and parts are hard to come by but got it all redone at a machine shop with better quality oil based plastics and it performed flawlessly. Had hectic sail up the peninsula as we left reasonably late in the season and sailed in the 30's just about daily until Darwin Great boat and always felt safe in her, just waiting to get back now and continue on.

@@evansommerville3403 thanks for your detaiked reply Evan. I live in Vietnam and plan to buy a yacht down the track . Read about many and l really like the older types. 1988--1990's. You can purchase quite cheaply and spend some $$$ to upgrade most things on the boat. Love Swans $$$ but they can he got for a fair price + some upgrade. Are you planing to stay in Asia with your boat.
