I grew up watching programs like these. The good old days when everyone thought comedy was funny and you could have a real belly laugh. It wasn’t meant to be hurtful. 😁👍🏾

Mr Chow Mein and Fred Scuttle were the very best of Benny's characters. I admit I am of the older gen, but IMO this is in no way offensive. It is not making fun of the Chinese but of the cultural barriers and idiosyncracies. Just as, as a Yorkshireman, I am in no way offended by Monty Python's (and other's) Four Yorkshiremen, or as an Englishmen by French jokes about the English. It is hilarious to see ourselves through other's eyes. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a sirry irriot - a phrase I still use to this day.

Hi, it's so refreshing to see a young man like you. Enjoying simple innocent comedy of old. I'm 73 years old and was brought up on this comedy. It doesn't harm anyone, and I can't understand why people are so bloody sensitive nowadays. I believe in freedom of expression in any form. If people are offended, so what, it's not fatal. You can choose to watch what you want. Offence is just off switch away. !! Keep up the good work son. 😂

Benny Hill was usually on ITV As you're of Nigerian descent, check out the late (God rest his soul 🙏) Felix Dexter. He did a character called Nathaniel (the studenr Accountant), he'd go from a Nigerian accent to a Jamaican (although he was actually born in St Kitts - another Caribbean Island) in a couple of Sentences. Dig out some of his clips. They're absolutely hilarious 👍👍😂😂 As you say, they wouldn't be able to make sketches containing racism today. More's the pity when you can't/won't laugh at certain sketches/program's

These great shows came out way before people felt they have the right to not be offended. The truth of the matter is, a lot of people from Asia really do have a problem with annunciation of the words correctly and mostly with the "R's."

You’re moving into a sad period. Please understand who is offended here. You might not be. Clearly your followers aren’t either. “Jokes” like this aren’t designed to offend us, but “them.” Just takes a bit of empathy. I’m out of this channel now - no place in my day for the Bernard Mannings and Benny Hills of this world. Take care !
