Hi Alex. I am a PC tech in the UK. I just wanted to let you know that your video's have helped me repair a few PC Motherboards with minor trace and Capicators issues. I don't do in-depth repairs like you, but the task I take on has helped to increase my revenue where I would have otherwise lost money. Thanks for your tuition and easy to follow videos. Don't ever lose the faith, and don't let those with negative attitudes put you down. This happens all over the globe, in all industries. Knowledge is power.

Hi Alex,Sometimes a little thing just triggers a solution, This video made me go back to my own faulty keyfob and check all the lines. Turns out it was actualy the negative connector plate that had coroded away from the line, thanks to your close up of the faulty line I caught on after labouriously checking all the components and cleaning the board to remove any water damage tracking. (I left my keys near the kettle, and someone who loves me dearly made me a lovely cup of tea and decided in the process to spill some water over the fob.) So big thanks.

Hello Alex, I've been a viewer for a little while now and I am inspired by your work, and I try to reflect it in my own. One repair I intend on doing involves replacing the USB 3.0 header on my motherboard. I have had trouble finding replacements that will not take months to ship, as well as being able to get singular units. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I would also enjoy supporting your work and I would definitely purchase from you if you sold them. Being that they are a commonly damaged component, I think it would be a worthy addition to your roster of components that you sell on your website. Thank you!

Hey Alex, I’ve been a long term fan more than (4 years now) your videos have helped me develop my technical skills that come from your amazing channel, I learned how to solder from your channel but couldn’t become a professional yet it’s difficult without all the amazing tools you have which I cannot afford, I have a Mercedes key on which I lost my infrared part before that the key wasn’t functioning throughout the buttons, seemed like an issue of power but when I tried to fix it I ended up breaking and loosing the infrared I really need your help! I’m in Vancouver right now, I can’t even start my car no more! Please help!😢

Nice fix! I bought a 2nd hand merc with an opposite fault to this. Radio unlock would not work, but IR unlock would. Key would start car, but had to point the key at the IR receiver on the door handle to open it. From what you've showed, it looks like the coil, or traces near it (in my instance) was faulty. I sent it to the garage and they said they couldn't fix it, where I'm sure you could!

If the frequency is always the same, then how does it know which function to operate?
