I like the hand guard and heatshield, but I would skip the side saddle and go with a card because they're easily replaced and you can carry several extras

Shotgun cards also fit surprisingly well into AR15 mag holders so it's a great way to carry shells on a plate carrier or vest

I would never use that side saddle, just slap on the velcro and use velcro cards to make for extremely easy swap outs to have extra ammo. Besides, installing it negates easy disassembly to clean the action!!! The heat shield is at best interesting and does have value, but once again easy disassembly for cleaning is now gone. One thing I noticed when he was pulling off the buttstock, I can see no reason that Magpul or other enterprise couldn't formulate a 'stock that would incorporate a pistol grip! It would be a part of the stock, not replace the section that houses the action, IMO. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong.

So when you clean it you have to disassemble the hand guard, seems easier with the original.

With its self cleaning gas system, it doesn’t need a full breakdown for thousands of rounds. Once a year is more than enough for most owners.

I personally don't care for the side saddle and prefer the shotgun cards. I find when cleaning and removing the bolt assembly. When reassembling having the trigger out of the way is key to simplifying the procedure. With the side saddle I honestly would not want to keep removing the screw retaing it and the trigger. Plus you can carry multiple shots gun cards making them more efficient over a side saddle. Jmo

Speaking for myself, I much prefer the factory Beretta handguard with its rough texture. I have no desire to replace it with any other handguard. It looks cool, but I'm not about looking cool, more about function.

Great tutorial on modding some GG&G parts for the A300. I'm curious why your customer would not replace the original polymer tube and pmount with the GG&G milled aluminum replacements? All the YT mods I've seen almost always say the polymer eventually slips, comes loose etc. and its a one of the essential replacements since Beretta kinda cheaped out on this end of the gun.

Agreed however just looking now. I believe beretta has redesigned the tube when they went to the two piece design. Almost looks like they have made a recess in the assembly so the cheesy factory clamp can't walk forward. As you mentioned the GG&G clamp and tube were my first mods.

@@moacustomfirearms8816really looks like the handgaurd assembly removal will be a pain in the ass for servicing purposes. I really like it but I shoot mine a bunch. I'm curious how many rounds you can push the gas assembly before it needs service. I know myself after 750 rounds of range slugs it was pretty fouled. I assume the barrel and handgaurd can removed as an assembly. Basically allowing cleaning brush access?

I was beyond excited to put a Briley handguard on my new A300 Patrol compliant model. Spent the money (it's not cheap), waited 2 weeks until it arrived...didn't fit properly. Went back and forth with Briley and they weren't even aware its incompatibility. Something with the shorter mag tube that prevents it from securely locking down, it would flail back and forth. It also doesn't fit flush with the receiver towards the top, looks sloppy. I was so bummed it didn't work out. To Briley's credit though, they didn't hassle me on the return at all. I wish it would have worked.

Looks like all these mods do is take money out of your pocket and puts it into someone else without any real advantage, if you want your gun to look “cooler” pony up the money and get a 1301 or m4, your friends your trying to impress will notice.
