I've had my Bergara HMR Premium 6.5CM since early 2019 and it's been fantastic. I topped mine with a Vortex PST Gen2 5-25x via Seekins base and rings. I shoot 140gr ELDM factory ammo and have developed a hand load that mimics the factory load. I've shot many sub MOA groups and several 1/2 MOA 5 shot groups. I've also shot out to 1000yds for the first time ever with this riflle. Great video and even though I've been happy with the HMR Premium stock, I've considered the KRG Bravo stock due to its ergonomics and styling.

I was going to get this a few years ago but got a ruger american predator so I could spend the money saved on glass and the magpul hunter stock. Definitely don't regret it, but Bergara makes awesome guns.

These are my favorite bolt guns. I own the Hunter version with the speckled green stock as my go to hunting rifle and I also own the hmr as more of a bench rest gun. Both are phenomenally accurate. Wouldn’t mind getting this ridge version for a slightly lighter weight “tactical” rifle.

This makes me wonder, and it's not just this video or you my friend but I have been around and shot five different bergara rifles. One is hooked up so to speak with carbon fiber barrel trigger tech trigger fancy stock, can't remember brand,in 6.5 cm. Two b14 hunter 6.5 cm. One b14 ridge 243. And mine is b14 hunter in 22-250. The thing I see is all the folks who do all this stuff to there guns to make them shoot. We can get half moa with all of these guns, no mods except for the one. I would imagine that all of these folks have factory guns that will do the same, but most folks just want an excuse to to make their guns sexy. Just what I feel is going on. And there is nothing wrong with having a bad ass looking gun,just don't think the bergara rifles need it, is all I'm saying.

I think this one does...Did you see the size of the groups he was shooting? There's something wrong with that barrel or receiver. Even after dropping the gun into a KRG Bravo Chassis he was still getting big groups, he just ignored the "flier" and declared the gun to be sub-MOA. Lol. Reminds me of my technique of shooting in the 0s. I shoot one shot groups...

I agree... If your in the prone for long periods of time, maybe. Also, a detachable mag would could be nice. At the range I just drop rounds in. In the feild, loading a rifle can be a pain if the weather is bad. That said, the B-14 stock is way better than most plastic stocks. Ruger American, the CVA, many Savages may be great rifles but thier milk jug plastic stocks are trash. Mossberg - Don't trust them after I bought a MVP in 223. It's accuracy was iffy and it light strikes 5.56... Called them... nothing.

This video speaks to me lol... I have a B14 Ridge (with a Nikon Black FX1000 4-16x) in .308 with a 22" barrel that I'm looking to upgrade the chassis for (KRG or Grayboe). Had the same issue with the box mag, wouldn't keep rounds in the magazine while cycling the bolt. Drove me nuts, took about 3-4 times putting it back together before I fixed my mistake. Accuracy has been good but I feel like a chassis will let me squeeze out some extra accuracy

Did you happen to do the barrel break in when you first got this rifle? I have a new b-14 ridge in 300 Winchester mag. I got mine for 540. Before tax at Dicks on clearance when they cleared out there hunting items.

I didn’t do a break in. It shot sub-moa out of the box so I didn’t think it was worth my time when I can’t shoot much better than that.

is that an OSS can - is it quiet enough to not wear hearing protection - I'm not asking for a scientific decibal answer but I want to know if it's tolerable or annoying - edit : I mean the whole point of a silencer is to keep the noise down - why spend big bucks on a car with square wheels

This is a YHM Resonator K, it’s not very quiet on this gun, you’d want a larger silencer if you want it hearing safe.

The most impressive thing about the B-14 series of rifles is that they can shoot like complete sh*t (as seen in this review) and people will say they are accurate. They look great, have a good stock and a buttery smooth bolt but shoot like dogsh*t in my experience. I have a Tikka CTR that shoots on average

I own 3 Bergara rifles, 2ea 6.5 CR (18"-22"") and 1 22-250 (24"), 2 of which are HMRs. They all are very picky rifles when compared to just a Ruger. As an example, you can take 10 differing types of 6.5 CR manufactured cartridges and obtain 2-4 sub MOA groups with Ruger's creedmoor $300-500 rifle. Shoot the same ammo in Bergara and not one will be sub-MOA. Rugers seem to just "F" shoot a wide variety of ammo in CR (6.5mm, 6mm) and NATO 5.56mm accurately, but the bolt actions and safety (noise) suck compared to Tikka/Sako/Bergara. I own two Tikka's in .223 & 6.5MM CR varmints both 24". My Ruger's chew them up on variety of different ammo, Tikka's are picky just like Sako, but not as bad as Bergara's, they remind me of a spoiled children only certain premium diapers will do. Here lies the rub, Sako, Tikka and Bergara all require premium bullets and load to shoot .5 or less, my Ruger's don't. Ruger predators & ranch just shoot shit ammo and premium just as well or better then the previous mentioned, there is something about Ruger's cold hammered forged barrels that is just spot on with their harmonics. Add a ballpoint pen spring in Rugers and you have a 14-18oz pull. Their noisy and rough basic riffles, but boy do they shoot accurately. It was an exspensive journey with my Bergara rifles, but I found what they eat. Sub MOA are now the norms, and Begara's action and feeding via 5-10 round mags and the SPs short mag mod are more reliable than Tikka's varmint system. Don't get me wrong, my Tikka's are buttery smooth, flat out shoot and the trigger is sweet. But thier mags > feed issues will drive you nuts and bolt lift/drop is stiff. Begara and Ruger never give me pickup feed issues, Begara lift/drop is softer and even perform cold, wet & dirty 100% < not Tikka... Pros an cons in all of them.
@michaelhill6451

@@BillyBob-lv2rc Yeah, the con to my Bergara is it is a piece of trash that won't consistently shoot sub-MOA with any of the dozens of bullets I tried in it over a period of two years. It isn't "picky". It is garbage. If you have a rifle in 308 that won't shoot SMKs, there's a problem. Also, I'm not sure why you think Tikkas are picky. I've tried 7-8 different bullets in mine and they all shoot about 0.5 MOA.
