A quick berimbau tutorial on the toque (rhythm) of São Bento Pequeno. Learn the notes and where it fits with the atabaque (drum) so you won't fall off beat. Other variations are also played near the end.
x - buzz or ti (lightly press the rock on the wire, gourd against your body)
o - open or dom (rock is off the wire, hit under where the rock would be placed. Move the cabaca (gourd) away from your body)
● - closed or dim (rock is pressed firmly on the wire. no buzz should be heard. cabaca away from your body)
