The sad thing about Bernard Hopkins is that they did that for the entirety of his career, He was the only boxer that was not afraid to call out the politics even when he won. Yes you had people that only talked about it but it was when they lost or felt like they were cheated in a loss. Bernard called them out when loser draw and they always tried to stop him or sensor him like this idiot did

@@kingdomofanimaria if you go watch prime Pernell against Wilfredo Rivera, you’ll see Rivera knock pea down multiple times and get robbed. They had a rematch, and once again Rivera got robbed. Sweet pea also lost to Oscar and Trinidad at only 32-33 years old. Pernel is an all time great, however he wasn’t the “greatest” by any means. Ali on the other hand was prob the greatest heavyweight of all time

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: I am glad this fight included the interview with Jim Gray. Jim Gray in this segment is the epitome of a 'White privilege narcissist ' that is so unemphatic and out of touch with reality that he simply 'dismisses' the circumstances of individuals that he cannot relate to, and types like him are EVERYWHERE, and no, don't give me that bullshit about voting is going to get rid of these types because it will not, like I said they are EVERYWHERE, now am I saying that every White person is like this, NO, but I cannot, will not turn a blinds eye toward this racial phenomenon and act as though it doesn't exist just to keep certain ones from feeling uncomfortable, but do you know what is even more DISTURBING and SCARIER than this interview...the fact that one can receive a jury of twelve individuals just like Jim Gray and be told that they are your PEERS with the fate of one's future hanging in the balance. If I were a Showtime executive telecast manager I'd take corrective action against Jim Gray and demand that he keep his personal opinion to himself unless it pertains to the actual fight or inquiries about future fights. Him including his 'two-cents' caused this interview to go left, but in doing so Hopkins beautifully illustrated the parallel between the socioeconomic struggle of minorities and the struggle of exploited boxers.

Awful...simply awful. Look I think Ferdie's experience and knowledge are unquestionable but he's simply not a polished broadcaster. His delivery is halting and terribly unsmooth...it almost seems like he gets so passionate and overexcited that he gets tongue tied and stumbles all over himself. NBC started this "character " The Fight Doctor and paired him with Marv Albert and he somehow parlayed that into a 35 year career as a boxing broadcaster...how...I don't know. There are dozens of color commentators I would rather listen to during a fight broadcast.

Hopkins is someone I thought was good, but he probably could not have won a fair fight. He either head butted, low blowed, or hit on the break in fight after fight. I guess that is what you do if you can not win legally.
@Whyavier

That low blow wasn't much of anything. Allen taught Hopkins about milking fouls I guess.
