This is a video slideshow honoring my Mother-in-law, Bernice Schmitz. It was made with the help of my wife Audrey, one of Bernice's daughters. Several years ago, in preparation for this day, Audrey spent many hours scanning old family photographs, many of which have been used in this slideshow. Both Audrey and I hope that this will offer peace and comfort to members of Bernice's family and friends. I knew Bernice for 34 years. She was an amazing woman. Sadly, I never new her husband, Vic, as he passed away 2 years before I met Audrey.
For anyone that just happens to come across this video, hopefully you can also enjoy the images and music that express the love of families and friends...

She enjoyed making beautiful pieced quilts and pillows for her children, grandchildren and others with the log cabin pattern being her favorite design.
Bernice was a charter member of the Argyle VFW Auxiliary, serving one year as President and 56 years as Treasurer. She prepared wonderful meals and desserts, loved to dance (especially waltzes as taught to her by her father), and enjoyed playing dominoes and card games.
