at first I thought some of his stories were lies, but when he brought out some of his childhood friends and when I read news articles about things he said happened I started realising that Joey wasn't full of shit. If you ever met Joey and you made an impression on him he'd probably remember you.

When I was in sixth and seventh grade my dad had a paper route because where I live you need a car because the area is so spread out and I would leave with him at 2:30 in the morning and I would get done at about 6:30 or so and then go home eat breakfast and go to school but do that about 3 or 4 days a week definitely help me build character

I kinda hate Berts seating arrangement. Part of what’s great about Joey is him feeding off and interacting with whomever he is sitting with. Bert was sitting there with his eyes shut or staring out the window. And I call BS on Bert only doing coke once. I’ve heard Bert tell a lot of coke stories and other comedians telling Bert coke stories. This interview felt weird and off putting. I love hearing Joey riff hard and bouncing other similar stories. Joey isn’t a guy who needs to blow smoke up anyones ass. This kinda felt like it.

Do you know how I know Joey doesn’t BS in his stories because I’ll often Google things he says. Like the burning cattails if you just Google Cattails keep mosquitoes. It was the first thing that popped up talking about how in the 60s 70s and 80s people from New Jersey burned cattails to keep mosquitoes away and called them punks.
