Fair enough! I think these still serve some purpose though when it comes to product design, like bluetooth audio dongles for cars or even small bluetooth speakers because the audio quality is pretty decent. But of course a high quality DAC and a classD amp would sound better 😅

@shapelessed
7 ай бұрын
@@Gameplayer55055 Have you ever heard a 0.2$ DAC...? No? Well then, you see... they suck. And 20 cents is a generously overstated value for that chip, considering that the board itself costs 2$, where 50% of which is the profit margin, and another 40%+ is the cost of manufacturing the PCB, two CS100 caps, the 24MHz oscillator and the USB-C port. I know bluetooth, because I developed a bluetooth protocol for some of my DIY devices to communicate with each other. Look at LDAC. With good enough compression, you can literally go to near lossless audio, which I can *guarantee* this board will not be capable of handling cleanly.
@Gameplayer55055

@@shapelessed yeah, maybe LDAC/aptX will work well, I haven't heard them. But SBC and AAC will sound with an average quality, as long as a PCB isnt "ze blytuus devais" it must be ok for the highest quality standard that SBC can provide
