Hey I’m in eighth grade and I have a problem with getting scared before I go live in tournaments which makes me lose all my mechanical skills. Throughout my first year of wrestling so far I have got 7 2nd place medals and no firsts but after I watched this video I got my legs down and I got first on my last tournament of the year, thanks

I love questions like this… I just did an entire video on this topic for Fanatics Wrestling coming out soon. Number one thing you can do is focused on your breathing in order to lower your heart rate going into matches. Blow out that anxiety and quiet your mind. Focus on yourself and not your opponents.

Then you continue to handfight for position. Double leg is not always there against every opponent.
