Hey Lino, thanks for making the video! Here's some technical info about the Arc frames that might provide some additional context and design insight for your viewers. The frames you have in this video are the standard Endless Arc which has a 316 mm wheelbase. This is equivalent to a 5x76 setup in terms of wheel spacing. This is why it feels more playful than the longer setups. The "tempo" of the its 77 mm pivot spacing is a little quicker. The Arc ES has a 324 mm wheelbase and is equivalent to 5x80 wheel spacing. Both the Arc and Arc ES use a rocker/configuration axle in the first and last positions. This has two purposes: 1) to allow the skater to choose either 80 or 84 mm wheels depending on application or wheel availability (using the included Black rocker axle), and 2) to allow the amount of rocker to be customized when using 80 mm wheels (optional Silver rocker axles are available for this purpose). If you use the Black rocker axle the amount of rocker is the same whether one uses 80 or 84 mm wheels. My personal preference is 84 mm, as I find it does contribute to the speed of the skate. A unofficial setup is to use 84 mm wheels with the Black axles dot down...this creates a pseudo flat set which is fantastic for bombing hills or cruising at higher speeds. I should point out there are no performance downsides to our 2-piece axles. Technically they create a stronger and more reliable bolted joint since there are no threads in shear like you typically get with the single-sided axles. With my design, only the axle shaft is put in shear and the screw is purely in tension. Both the rocker/config axle and the screw are made of high strength heat treated steel to Class 8.8 specs, which far exceeds the strength of most axles on the market. Speaking of speed, it's alway best to compare the speed of two setups using identical wheels, bearings, and spacers as this will have a dramatic effect on performance. Also wheel profile will affect speed-a pointier profile (bullet/elliptical) is faster than a rounded one. Maybe you can see about getting complete sets of Hydrogen wheels to do some speed tests. Difference in stiffness between wheel hubs/cores will especially contribute to the speed of a wheel as well. The Arc's structural design is incredibly rigid so there is high efficiency with energy transfer. In other words the frame flexes less so more power from your legs goes into propelling you on each stride. Finally some notes about sounds... The sonic profile of the Arc was especially noticeable and familiar to me. The very rigid structure of this frame has a much higher resonant frequency than most other frames. If you hold the frame by a single finger you can get it to ring like a tuning fork. Because the frame is so stiff and has such an efficient load path you will actually hear the bearings making contact with the axles for any wheel that is not fully touching the ground. For example, while rolling forward most of us put more weight on our heels so the first and 2nd wheels are typically floating because of the progessive rocker. The single-sided FR axles we use for the middle 76 mm wheels typically have a diameter of 7.85-7.90 mm. Our custom rocker axles are a little tighter...7.93 mm. The diameter of the inner race on bearings is 8.00 mm. So any wheel that is not loaded from body weight will float a little due to the clearance between axle shaft and bearing race. The knocking sound that is made transmits very efficiently into the rigid frame. Wizard NR and PR frames do something similar; they just have a different pitch due to the increased mass.

@@Heavyheadbulliesnyc I appreciate the suggestion. Thanks! I'll see what I can do. I would like to start making more videos this summer. On the Arc ES you should not do 5x80. Technically the wheels will fit, but you will have a very extreme rocker at the first and last wheels (2 mm more than standard). If you are looking to dance on the frame then maybe it might be useful, but otherwise I would advise against it.

Good vid Lino. Not to down any of the products you have shown here, but if anyone is wanting to do wizard skating, save the extra money and buy actual wizard setups. This riding free skates to do "wizard" moves is nothing when one rides actual wizard skates (seba sx and NR/PR frames). I rode FR1s with Endless 100/110s and NN Dragons and when you get SX boots and wizard frames, going back and trying the FR1s was crap as you've felt REAL support in the Sebas. No matter how low these other frames are, they will never get as low as an aggressive frame shape can. Again, just save your money, it's so worth it. I don't care how good all these people make this stuff look when they skate them, if they all had legit wizard product, either all or most would say this same thing. It all goes back to support and height. Now, with all that said, if you DO have aggressive boots (flat soul), then the aggressive profile frames of these companies are fairly okay. I'm only referring to wizard skating on freeride/raised heel boots as inferior - save your money for the real thing.

Amongst other frames, I have a NN Skate 5X80 (Dragon) frame on HC Evo Pro (2019) and while I love it - there is one thing I dislike about it and that is the "clacking" sound; Its drives me crazy to the point I don't want to skate with that frame.

Hi Ricardo, I am struggling to choose the best 4x90 frames and wheels to pair with my FR1s, I do lots of urban skating, jumps, stairs, and gaps, but also love to cruise very quickly through the city so not too sure if I want a rocker or not as I like to be stable skating quickly. I cannot decide which frames to get, Iqon Decode 4x90, Endless 4x90, Rockin Mix 4 , or Adapt symmetrics 4x90. Which frames do you recommend for this type of skating? Is 90mm the right wheel size as I have size 41 EU feet? Thanks

You can't go wrong with the endless they were made for the FR1 boot, but any of the frames you listed are a great choice. 4x90 is definitely the sweetspot for the city for me (41 as well). However if you want to go even faster with some compromise to agility you can go for 4x100 or Rockin Mix 100/90 for the inbetween. 5 Wheel frames are a little too slow for just cruising in my opinion.

@@MrMokey24 yeah I think I am going to get these, I just don't understand why they are so expensive, especially as they are lower grade alliminum compared to other frames at the same or cheaper price, what does the rocker on them feel like?

@@Will-cv8kn Very subtle rocker, not too much but still nice for being maneuverable. I don't know about "lower grade aluminium" they seem really high quality to me. Both from the feel in the hands and how they perform. Never had any issues.
