Somewhere I left a bad review on Crayola clay because the first few pieces fell apart. I had so much of it left so I made beads then they hardened hard. I made things thicker after that and if it seemed to be too dry handling itI put some Vaseline on my fingers. Things came out so much better. So now I'm happy with it 😃

to paint small pieces you can use a tweezer and dip them in the paint

I just purchased clay and I can’t wait to use it and I’m glad I came across your video! I just have one question for you. If you’re working on a project and it’s going to take a while to finish how do you store the piece so that it doesn’t dry out until you’re finished with it? My guess is an airtight container but do you have any preferences? I would really love to hear your thoughts, thank you!

I usually store it in plastic wrap and tubberware and just wet it once I take it out.

Interesting. Hmmm - I might try making something like this. I have a question, though - if this is tic tac toe - how do you know who wins since all the pieces are different colors, shapes, and sizes? Also, I have some old crayola air dry clay that I bought probably 5 -7 years ago and it's actually STILL good - I just went hunting for it after seeing all these air dry clay videos. I was sure it would be a dry rock by now, but I just spritzed it with some water and it's good as new after all this time. I said that to say this - air dry clay can be very rough naturally so with a piece like yours with all those curves - you might want to sand the piece to smooth it out. And with the straight pieces - the tic tac toe part - it probably would have been easier if you assembled that alone so you could get all the pieces nice and straight and let it dry completely then attach it to the base with some or glue. Also, you were rolling your clay out on a wooden table and wood is definitely porous - which means it absorbs moisture. That's part of the reason why your clay was sticking to the table. Next time roll your clay on something plastic or roll it on some parchment paper - the paper won't absorb the water in the clay and the back of the clay will stay much smoother because the plastic or parchment will be smooth. Sorry that your piece broke, but you also learned a great lesson in how to rescue a piece so that was awesome. Hope you make lots more clay things and, like I said, this one looked really interesting and made me want to make one like this. It's a simple game that is easy to take on the go and can have many different designs!

I’m making a rectangle type box and there I will have a very tall flat piece for the walls of the box. Do you recommend anything to keep it up straight? Something that could support it but also not damage it in any way?

Hmm 🤔 I try to make the pieces thick, so they’ll stand up. Maybe a toothpick or a piece of foil in the corners. Wish I could I help more! ❤️

the clay ur handling with won’t be precise if u have gloves covering it, and it’s uncomfortable when dealing with it.Gloves are the worse alternative if u haven’t used clay u can’t be talking so shut up respectfully ❤😂
