Don't use alcohol based cleaners on the Carborundum side of the glass bed that came with the v2. The alcohol can ruin the coating, making it useless. Something like a simple water/dish soap mixture or windex is best for the carborundum surface.

Good to know. I didn't know that about the stock glass bed.

@@509drone2 with the plain glass side, it's fine. It's only the side with the carborundum you have to worry about.

Does the smooth pei sheet leave residue or print removal tool marks from past prints.

Thanks for your video. Could you tell me whether I should use a glue stick on the standard corundum bed when printing TPU or should I use the glass side of the bed? Can you clean the glue from the corundum side at all? Tanks in advance!

I thought the whole idea of theze was to not use glue stikcs and adhesion???

Correct, you do not need to use it when you're printing PLA. But if you print TPU, ABS etc. It will stick to much. So you need the glue stick to prevent it from ruining your print bed.

Would spraying the bed with hairspray serve as a decent barrier for PETG?

i want to replace build surface ender 3 v2 with pei spring steel but i'm still confused about choosing pei textured or smooth to print abs and pla do you have any recommendations for me

Textured or smooth doesn't really matter. The Textured does help bed adhesion just a tiny bit more but the smooth bed sheet is totally fine as well. The main thing to consider is if you want a smooth or Textured finish on the bottom of your prints. Hope that helps with your decision.

Ive been having trouble printing petg on my th3d smooth ezflex plate. When ever i start laying down a layer it begins to curl up at the start which causes the printer to move it out of line when it come back around to finish the brim. Any ideas why this is happening? I tried different bed temps from 70-85 deg with a nozzle temp at 235 but still no success. Also i have cleaned my bed sheet with 91% iso

That sounds like a cooling issue. The print is either getting to much air blown on it, or not enough. I would also try putting some kind of enclosure around your printer to block any wind/outside airflow from changing the temperature of the print.

Why did you change the LCD screen on the ender 3 v2?
@509drone2
2 жыл бұрын
Because the ender 3 v2 stock LCD screen doesn't work well at all with auto bed leveling systems like the ezabl or bltouch. It's an extremely easy upgrade to do. I have another video showing the whole process if you're interested in seeing it.
