Yay! I knew it was gonna be Archer's Voice! I'm so glad I told you it was my all time favorite and that you had to read it first if you wanted to read Travis. I don't know if you know there's a special edition of Archer and I bought it right when it was released. One, because it's SO beautiful and second, because Mia added her annotations in the book.💙

My favorite read of the year was Beyond That, The Sea… but a close second is The Second Chance Year which I have a feeling would be up your alley. Thank you for this video! I added several to my TBR list!!!

I loved Abby Jimenez this year. My favorite is the friend zone, after I read that book I binged all of her backlist 😊

I’ve heard mixed things about the friend zone and wasn’t sure if I should read it or not… but the happily ever after playlist is part of that series and have heard great things about that one

Referring to a book as “flawless” has me curious. I’m really not a Romance lover, but, I’ll try it. :)

I ended up really liking Archer’s Voice off your recommendation and I am not a contemporary romance reader! I still think about the characters. I’m definitely putting Project Hail Mary on my list for 2024. My very favorite book of this year (and of all time) was The Road… it’s one of those special books that I feel so lucky someone had the words to write because it connected to me so deeply and the characters remind me of my husband and son so much that I could give my husband this tangible thing and say read this and then you will know how I see you and Landon (our son). And it felt like a weird relief because sometimes those emotions are hard to express perfectly. ALSO Interview with a Vampire was soooo beautifully written and philosophical- I feel like you would love! Also, also, nearly finished with History of Wild Places by Shea Ernshaw and it’s really compelling. Haha sorry for writing a novella, hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your fam and Happy New Year!! Always appreciate your book videos and recommendations 💛💛

Then she was gone was probably one of my worse reads 😅 I didn’t get the hype because you knew what happen and who did it within 50 pages . But the last word was soo good

All of the reasons I loved Part of Your World too!! I can’t wait to read Yours Truly… have you read that one yet? I can’t remember 🤔

Yes I loved yours truly! Great social anxiety rep. But there was some poor communication in that one that irked me, and it’s why it didn’t make my best books list. But it was good

The only other context in which I've heard about "Archer's Voice" was another booktuber critiquing it to shreds, so color me surprised to hear you talking about it like that haha :')

lol! I’m curious what they said about it that made them think it was so bad. 😂

@@carahamelie Uhmm... I think I remember her talking about how the seemingly mature and curious love interest acts childlike at random points. I think she felt off about a physically disabled person being infantilized like that. Oh and also trauma being portrayed weirdly. Like it's something that someone elses presence just magically cures.
