Nice Steelbooks! I recently started collecting them this past year after saying for years I never will. now i'm addicted lol . I'm sad you experienced the downside to collecting them when they arrive like that from Amazon but glad you were finally able to find a new one and yes we are all guilty of hiding items I even remember doing that for action figures when I was a kid at the Toy Stores lol.

Awesome steelbooks man. I only own 3:10 to Yuma from the bunch. I regret not getting my hands on Dragonslayer I haven’t seen it at Best Buy.

I saw James and the giant peach in theaters when i was ten. I enjoyed it very much and still do. It definitely has a darker comedic tone to it than most "kids" movies. If your kids enjoy, Nightmare before Christmas, Frankenweenie, Coraline etc. They'll like James and the giant 🍑

This is probably a more appropriate place to bring up my new Hammer collection additions. It’s a big challenge to build a library like this because of how many distribution labels they’re spread across. Most of the 18 titles I acquired last week are one in done films. I did get one new addition to the Dracula series with Brides of Dracula (The second one). I’m still missing three of the sequels. I also managed to get all three entries of their loose Carmilla Trilogy and added one more to the Mummy line with the Mummy’s Shroud. So I’m just missing one Mummy film to complete that. Most of what I got does fall under horror label but I did manage to branch out a bit with getting two out of their three Robin Hood films or their prehistoric adventure films like One Million Years BC or Creatures the World Forgot. As mentioned before the two additions that are not related to this collection were Amicus horror film The House that Dripped Blood and the original Wicker Man. Last thing I’ll say is I’ve completed the main line Walt Disney animation collection finally. Sort of. I don’t have Dinosaur and it’s kind of debatable on whether or not it counts. I do plan on getting it at some point.

Hi, DJ! No need to feel embarrassed about hiding "Dragonslayer" behind another video. I and I'm sure many others have done it as well. If an employee is standing there when you return, just act like you're browsing that row for the first time rather than conspicuously grabbing the film you hid like you knew right where it was. It's all about subtlety, my friend. 😀I think you'll like "3:10 to Yuma." I enjoyed the original and the remake. "James and the Giant Peach" also is quite good, but I haven't seen it in years. Take care!

Thanks, Kevin. This video was shot a while ago. I now have the original 3:10 to Yuma from Criterion. I plan to watch both versions soon. Which one do you prefer?

@@FilmsByColor I can't really say which "3:10 to Yuma" version I prefer as it's been awhile since I've seen either of them. They're both well worth your time. I will add that I went to the theater yesterday to see the film "Jules" with Ben Kingsley. I had not heard of this film until I read a positive review of it by Leonard Maltin. It might be a little quiet and slow moving for some folks, but it's a sweet little film about an alien encounter that I found quite moving at times.

The Lionsgate steelbooks are mainly the only ones I buy now. Considering the slipcover and artwork the prices are reasonable. I have about 13 so far (Ender's Game being the newest) and I hate that I missed out on The Punisher one.

I agree, they're super nice. They're pretty much the only ones I buy these days. I've seen the Punisher ones, but I don't think I've seen the Ender's Game one. Which other ones do you have?

@@FilmsByColor I have Warm Bodies, Hell or High Water, Wonder, The Hurt Locker, Warrior, 3:10 to Yuma, Universal Soldier, Dredd, La La Land, Chaos Walking, The Punisher:War Zone, Spiral and The Limey. I was going to get The Cabin in the Woods, but didn't like the artwork.

Do you have the Lawrence of Arabia Steelbook? Perhaps one of the best looking releases ever imo, certainly out of all the steelbooks I’ve seen. That Highlander release is gorgeous. Now I’m itching to run to my local Best Buy and see what they have… 😅

That Lawrence of Arabia Steelbook is amazing and ridiculously rare and expensive now. I'm kicking myself for passing on that one when it came out! Do you have one?

I bought the Columbia Classics mainly because of Lawrence of Arabia and then it gets a stand alone release. Still Don't know what to do with Jerry Maguire and League on their own. Both horrible.

Hope you enjoy 3:10 to Yuma! It was one of the first Blu ray movies I ever saw. Curious how you think it compares to the original (when you see it), and if will make a top 10 re-make ranking. Also, hope your son is okay! Epic story worthy of a Smaug Dragon Slaying. Hopefully, more Greatest Adventures Lie A Head! Great to know Rocketeer holds up because it was my favorite movie at a point when I was a kid. But I didn't know if it was an Aladdin situation since that was one of my favorites, but, remembered having a similar change in thought as you with it where it didn't hold up as well. Thanks again, DJ. Looking forward to hearing you tonight on Geekvolution. Take care, and God bless you and your family.

I never use the Digital Code in my Blu-rays. I fear that because our Players are connected to Wi-fi that in the future Studios will be able to skip scenes in Films that contain politically incorrect content. It seems to me that a digital code is a way of serial numbering my disc.

Where is the disc information on these steelbooks ?
@FilmsByColor

On the Lionsgate steelbooks, the disc information is on the slipcovers. The Dragonslayer steelbook comes with a J-card, so all the info is put on that, and the slipcover is just clean artwork.

@@FilmsByColor Thank you! Some of these look really nice! Though I prefere digipacks and to have the info on the back available directly.
