I have felt very lost, since there are so many different cloth diaper options and not many people talking about pre-folds! This video is very helpful! Thank you.

Great info! Thanks so much for that. A plus is that I find it soothing just to listen to you and watch you fold things 😆👌🏼 Also amused that you have the exact same baby doll as I do.. as my child does

Thank you for a great video! I’ve been using the green mountain prefolds in newborn size and still find everything saturated in about an hour. Would you recommend a synthetic insert with the prefold? I also struggle with leaks! I think that’s just getting used to CD a newborn

I am trying to decide what kind of system I want to use still. I will be cloth diapering after baby cord falls off. What size and brand would last the longest before sizing up. Tight budget i love the idea of hemp but its expensive. Plus all my diapers have microfiber inserts already so would you layer them or just sell or toss? Love your videos!

I only have thirsties prefolds and for some reason I hate them... they are so big, my toddler only pees in the front and middle, soakes these areas and the back is dry... The extra length is completely useless for us. And I had ammonia problems with them. What I really love are geffen baby boosters in size medium, the absorbency is awesome and they are extremely trim. But they are expensive. Currently thirsties inserts folded in the front are my day to day go...

which prefold would you recommend for my 2 month old (almost 13lbs) as a pad folded insert? our regular inserts are too long for her and i dont like folding the ends in! i also want it to last though the night.

Would the "small/infant" sizes (that go up to about 15-18lbs depending on brand) be long enough to lay in most covers on the largest rise setting? I'm looking at a few different brands and some shrink down to 13inch I believe. I'm planning to use them pad folded for my toddler, but want them small enough for when we have another baby.

Is it ok to buy pocket diapers and use prefolds on the outside of the pocket (not in the insert)? Basically as the shell for the prefold

Yes I do this sometimes But remember that pocket diapers usually have a fleece lining that wicks wetness away from baby skin so you most likely won't be able to reuse the the shell if baby wets through the prefold because it will be wet.

So, I’m new to cd. I have been using just the mf insert that came with my pocket diapers and it’s worked great up until recently when she started soaking it in like an hour. Would prefolds be much more absorbent than the mf? Seriously thinking about trying them

What’s size prefolds works best for padfolding in covers?
@ClothDiaperPodcast

I'm impartial to a size 2/infant size - about the size of a piece of paper after washing. I used that size for the longest time. If you're on full rise setting you can transition to a size 3 prefold.
