I had version 1 and it worked well but hated the digital button you had to press to pick the speed. It also didnt remember it past 5min so you have to readjust the speed all the time. I bought them mainly they use Makita batteries as well and I have a bunch of those so I have a ton of batteries. I will say I just got the version 2 and its so much smoother and much more quiet than the 1st version. I will say the first thing I did was open the gear casing and removed the junk grease and it didnt even have enough to cover the entire inside. I replaced it with quality white lithium grease

Still debating if I should just buy the Rupes LHR15 kit with the included bag and accessories and be done with it. I just cant decide between all the different options. Thanks for helping this DIYer. Who thinks like and is a professional for his three cars 😊. For the 21mm throw ones, what size pad do you prefer, 5" or 6"? Sorry...just heard that 5" is your preferred pad size. Another question: Pros and Cons of 5" pads versus 6" pads? I just bought a crap load of 6" pads. 😮
@VassRulez
Жыл бұрын
For 21mm throw polishers the standard is usually 6 inches. 5 inch is the standard for 8-15mm throw machines, it is a bit more popular in detailing as the slightly smaller pad allows you to get into tighter areas and is a more precise size. Although you can still use 6 inch with your current polisher or consider separate backing plate for 5 inch.
