perfect combination of amazing nature (islands, beaches, waterfalls, lakes, coral reefs, mountains, etc.), friendly, hospitable, english-speaking people and affordable accomodations, food, & activities. if budget is not a concern, the country also offers 5-6 star hotels & resorts, too.
@alphaomegazulu
4 жыл бұрын
@ it depends on where you plan to go. it's advisable to plan your trip & go to places that are nearby. there are many youtube videos now detailing "how to travel the philippines", including how to go about transportion options and their corresponding costs, since there are many ways to reach the different locations in the country. you can even reach a lot of the islands by taking the buses that use the roro (roll-on, roll-off) ports. if you wanna keep the costs down, you obviously can but the drawback is you'd probably spend more time "on the road".

Japan is perfect for solo travelers! At least those that come prepared for the local culture. Japan is very oriented towards solo commuters and businessmen so you'll never stand out when you're on your own, and also - it's a very, very safe country. The thing is, Tokyo is like a big machine, and it waits for no one to catch up. It's very organized and the local culture is different than anything else I ever knew (and I saw quite a few across the globe), so when you come there on your own you need to do your homework and have at least a very basic understanding of the place and culture before you land, because if you don't - you'll get lost. And not just physically, "the fun way", but also mentally. You'll feel like you got abducted by aliens.

@@vipinperinchery4079 I travelled there solo to Cairo in June 2019 to see the historical sites. I loved it. Only do 3 days MAX in one city them move onto the next city. But is a very different and unique experience. Very tense. You can definitely stand out as a tourist. There a fair bit of poverty and lack of infrastructure in Cairo due to the political instability and the govt is still fighting the extremist groups in the North west of Egypt but Cairo should be safe. Be prepared for chaos and there are pretty much no road rules, and ATMs can run out of cash so card transactions are very limited. So cash up on US dollars AND Egyptian pounds. Also be mindful what you wear as its a conservatoire muslim country and I highly suggest to pay someone to go on a group tour and hire a guide on websites like Trip advisor. Aldo be prepared for Hecklers and will milk money out of you everywhere even at the AIRPORT with baggage handlers. So be vigilant. They can be aggressive if you refuse there help so you have to assert yourself and say NO

Me too It is quite small, has a very good public transport system (and also lots of taxis), if you don‘t want to sit in restaurants alone (what’s not a problem at all), you can go to hawker centers or food courts in the malls, you have so many different opportunities to visit (parks, architecture, museums, beaches, different districts, ... and of course you can go shopping), ... - and you feel absolutely safe. And all the people speak English. But it is a quite expensive city - especially according to the hotels - if you don’t want to stay in a hostel. (Food and public transport is ok.) I have been three times in Singapore on my own, never with other people - and I can’t wait to go back (hopefully in December 2021.
