Sheds & Deluxe Retaining Soil & Garden Pot!!! I have not seen anyone talking about this, I expected to see it in your video and was surprised to see it wasn't there so I thought I'd share. Sheds can now be extra greenhouses. Not including ancient fruit, for the space cost of 4x7, a big shed can grow 137 crops year round and this includes trellis crops like hops!!!. I'm using a system of 3 big sheds, 2 filled with kegs and 1 with hops to make ~6.4 million a year(~57k a day).

You can look up stardew valley roi (for "return of investment"). Lots of people who have pointed this out and have spreadsheets regarding that. It's just difficult because practically it's even better to just go fishing and skull cavern with the energy and make more money -> buy starfruits or other things vs. planting stuff like parsnips and wheat that take too much time. But depending on how you want to play the game or even casually you don't have to follow the standard "best" crops everytime because other crops actually have good benefits.
@dddmemaybe
Жыл бұрын
Huge tip for 2:54 is you can click over a second tile (usually where the Q.Sprinklers while you strait line walk) while holding down x to double place seeds and fertilizers. If you have speed +1 or +2, you can walk to not skip tiles when placing anything in general too. This doubles your placing output and makes mid-game gold/iridium hoe and watering can actually good and possibly more relevant than golden+ axe(no trees left ffs) and golden/iridium pickaxe(bombing run).
@dddmemaybe
Жыл бұрын
A good rule of thumb is spend all your money on seeds to match your sprinkler tile count at the ready. If you have a _lot_ more q.sprinkler tiles than you can afford on cranberry tiles on Fall 1, take away some cranberries and throw in some pumpkins or even grapes(weirdly fine Fall gpd for a 60g seed). Maximum tile-to-tile availability for auto-watered-tiles always makes more money before roughly year ~2-ish.

the best money maker per tile on farm is crystalarium with diamond, use the proffesion and big shed. on ginger island go with banana trees maximum layout then go with hops. fill the gap(path to walk) with ancient fruit/starfruit. then go fill every corner of map with crystalarium and keg. and now you are jeff begober.

Usually after the second year money means nothing to me. Because I like to go for 6 full barns of pigs, which is 72 pigs. Plus a greenhouse full of Ancient Fruit and one big shed full of kegs. Then a basement with around 100 casks. With the Foraging perks that give double foragables and all Iridium quality, I get around 135 truffles a day. I like to turn them all into oil with oil makers in another shed. I save the excess that don't fit in the shed for winter and rainy days when the pigs don't produce. This garners me around 15,000,000 a year, not including the Ancient Fruit wine that produce all year long. I cask the first harvest, then I sell the next 7 as basic wine, recask the 8th harvest and sell the iridium quality wine, and repeat. Which is around 5,000,000 a year, with two full basements a year and 14 normal harvests. One year essentially removes any concern for money in the whole game. It can go faster if you do crops and not wait on 115,000g for pigs and literally so much supplies and gold for barns you go bankrupt 8x in two years and I want to cry because you're working to the bone, but I like being a pig tycoon owner. Because it's quirky.

But doesn’t fertilizer only apply to the first harvest of reoccurring harvest crops like ancient fruit? Is this only calculating this in such a manner?
@MrPenguinpanda
3 жыл бұрын
No it works for every harvest! Just when you harvest for example Blueberries: You get 3 blueberries in total (+ sometimes a few more). Of these 3 the first one can be of any quality affected by your farming level and fertilizer. The other 2+ are 100% regular quality.
@MrPenguinpanda
3 жыл бұрын
Or maybe if it still isn't clear: A blueberry crop grows for 13 days. Then you can right click it to get blueberries. From this one right click you get 3 blueberries at least and the first is affected by fertilizers and the other 2+ are always regular quality. In 4 more days you can harvest them again - right click and you get 3+ blueberries. The first is affected by fertilizers, the other 2+ are not. Same for Coffee Beans or even Potatoes and Strawberries. Poatoes don't regrow but if you harvest them you get around 25% more potatoes on average. These extra potatoes are always regular quality and not affected by quality. But the actual first potato is.

Did you consider turning regular and silver cranberries into seeds to make profit? As the average of slightly below 2 seeds is worth around 117g, which is more than 102g for silver quality with tiller profession (better than 112g for gold without tiller, but wtf are you doing without tiller?). If to cut down on buying new seeds, it is even worth turning the gold and iridium quality ones into seeds. They might end up beating pumpkins when without machines.
@MrPenguinpanda
3 жыл бұрын
Oh yes good point! I did think about it since in my spreadsheet u can toggle between paying with seedmaker or not accounting for quality but it's a weird thing because I didn't want to make the video even longer and you could ofc do the same for Blueberries I think. But if its outside the greenhouse its difficult to say because you need to first let it grow or have leftovers from the year before and at that point you might as well have grown evey tile you want or are far enough that you probably can just use Ancient Fruits. Maybe you don't want to use Ancient Fruits but it's difficult to account for every single playstyle/challenge/preferences/cropspace in one video. Otherwise either following some min/max route from challenge/speed run streamers/youtubers, just using mine or other spreadsheets out there or plain sticking with best crops (hops/starfruit/ancient fruit) is the best way anyway if you're into that.
@xakuray5522
3 жыл бұрын
Well, I guess it's a bit different than just using seed makers to not pay extra for new seeds but actually get more money by selling the seeds, which I don't think is included in your spread sheet. (though it's really only applicable to blueberries and cranberries) It's a great year one tip as you definitely won't have the greenhouse by that point, probably not many ancient seeds either, nor access to the desert yet. It's one of the most valuable options for each respective season and net you a chance to get a few more ancient seeds for either the greenhouse or the upcoming years. Still your video was already more than very packed. Thanks you very much for those tools and information.

I definitely made the video a little bit too complicated in hindsight ^^'. I'll try to improve that in my future videos. But I'm not sure what exactly you're looking for. If kegs are no problem then you don't need Deluxe Fertilizer because if you turn everything into wine/juice quality doesn't matter. Then you will want to use Deluxe Speed-Gro for almost everything to grow it faster for more wine/juice. Specifically Strawberries in Spring (+ Kale/Potatoes before Egg festival if you don't have them from before), Starfruit or Hops in Summer and Pumpkins in Fall.

Thanks! Yea I thought about the problem with mobile but that's why I talked about most things in the video. Not sure how I should do it differently with the spreadsheet but good idea I could make pictures of certain parts of the spreadsheet. Otherwise it's just supposed to be for people on pc right now. Best way would be planting Starfruits with Deluxe Speed-Gro + Agriculturist and later Hyperspeed-Gro + Agriculturist on the Island + Greenhouse, Ancient Fruit on normal farm, then processing everything you can into wine. If you really have enough Kegs you can also use Hops but it takes a lot of work and might be annoying to finde a good layout since they block the paths etc. And same goes for pigs they take a lot of money at first before they pay off but you could use the rest of your farm for them. On the west part of ginger island you place Bee houses and for the rest of the time you farm bars and without machines you just plant Sweet Gem Berries instead of the Starfruit. Additionally what someone else said you can also use Garden Pots in sheds everywhere to make even more money with Starfruits too. Anyway thanks for the feedback appreciate it :)
