I like the look of the Gerber Armbar drive as a kind of multitool but living in the UK the locking blade makes it a no-no for EDC. As of late my fave 2 EDC knives are similar to 2 of your choices, the Spyderco Urban, and the Vic Climber with black plus scales, with a black pocket clip fitted to the scales...there's an ebay seller here in the UK who sells scales with pocket clips for a very good price, very well executed too.

Nice review so thanks for taking the time. I would go for the compact as UK legal carry as non locking 👍

I have the Evolution Grip 14 Swiss Army Pocket Knife, I think it betters the standard version by being more comfortable to hold, it has slightly thicker scales bu they are sculpted to fit your hand better, being a Wenger design the scissors are nicer to use and cut better IMO, I do actually use the Awl on it for minor leather working and repairs. It has one final trick as instead of the tiny blade it has a file/nail cleaner which can be very handy, and its legal to carry

Unfortunately, unable to buy Kershaw Leek in the UK as it is assisted opening.

I used to live in the UK and had this issue. Don't worry the Victorinox Compact is a better product overall!
