Great video lads. Used to be a Tricast and Daiwa devotee as a lad growing up in Sheffield but now I’m half a century old and mostly fish rivers in Surrey, I don’t think you can beat an Acolyte💥🤜🎣 Way ahead of the game when they first came out too. The ultras are perfect for stick, bolo or waggler.

I only fish commercials due to disability. My money went on 4 Acolyte rods. 11ft Carp waggler. 12ft Ultra waggler and two 9ft plus feeder and bomb rods.

Cracking video. What would suggest for silvers on commies during winter, but mainly fish the Ouse, Swale and Ure with stick and waggler up here in North Yorkshire

What is the casting weight of the 14 ft TP, can it handle more than the indicated 12 gram? This is quite light for a float rod… for proper waggled fishing at distance you need 20 gram.

The Acolyte plus isn't a barbel float rod by any means. Myself and many friends have snapped them in half trying to play barbel.

I’ve got to be honest I’ve just bought a new 17ft tournament s and it basically feels like my 17ft acolyte with a brick tied on the end , it’s a nice rod but in comparison to the drennan it’s disappointing really considering the price difference, drennan definitely make the best long float rods on the market and the handle on the daiwa is too short (about 4 inches shorter than the drennan) which probably upsets the balance abit . Being the gimp I am I weighed it and it’s over an once heavier too😞

Slight exaggeration I think , hope they have removed the flat spot off the acolytes , not bad for the money, but their is a lot better out their I’ve tested many rods ,

Rive Delta long cast feeders used those types of rings 4-5 years ago and everyone was horrified, now that Daiwa adopted them they will happily bend over and brag about it.
