Thank you for featuring fragrance free options. My first eczema breakout was during my second pregnancy. I visited Derm after Derm with no results. After some research, I started removing fragrance from my body care. I then removed it from everything else: soaps, detergent, candles, etc. However, I was still having flare-ups. That is when I discovered that essential oils can have the same sensitizing affect. Once I removed those, I haven't had a outbreak in 2 1/2 years. This is after 30 years of 2-3 outbreaks a year. Is it annoying to constantly "turn and learn" and say no to products? Yes. Is it sad to not burn pumpkin spice candles? Yes. Is it worth it to not have the constant itch and irritation and have my skin love me? Yes!

I grew up watching people casually be discriminatory towards dark skin and chubby people, especially girls. 6/10 ads on TV were about fairness creams. How a girl goes for an interview and gets rejected, then puts fairness cream for 5 days, goes back and gets selected. It was so normal for me, I never batted an eye. As I hit puberty, I started putting so much fairness creams, rubbing fresh lemon juice, fresh orange peel, the harshest of apricot scrubs every day, even bleach. We have facial bleach available here from pretty reputed brands for less than a dollar. I literally destroyed my skin trying to look "beautiful". I can't thank you enough for sharing your knowledge with us.. I learn so much from you and I hope younger people watch your channel too, so that no teen makes such mistakes with their skin, like I did.

I also looooove love QV’s gentle wash body wash, i have pretty bad eczema which tends to flare up a lot more frequently when i’m either stressed or just going through the colder months, which tends to get even worse becausei live in a dry climate. I’ve had their body wash, lotion and most of their moisturizers since i was a kid and they really do help! They’re also pretty underrated but they really do deserve to get more hype.

Hi I have super dry skin and eczema, plus I'm menopausal - so dry dry dry. I go through large quantities of body creams and therefore don't buy expensive products - a 500g cream lasts me less than a month. To help those more basic creams perform better I use a body oil underneath - any plain simple plant oil eg grapeseed or avocado. I do use an AHA body product once or twice a week, to stop the dead cells building up and even my basic cream has to have around 10% urea. Expensive body products are an occasional treat to use on chest/arms only, not something I could use all over every day. I use a LOT of product, as my skin soaks it up quickly. On elbows/knees/feet I use a 30% urea cream and cover with a thick cream or balm. This routine keeps eczema flares to a minimum and keeps my skin fairly comfortable. I don't use anything fragranced and my body wash is super gentle also. On a night out if I want to wear a small amount of perfume, I apply it over a layer of petroleum jelly and wash it off when I get home. I hope that helps others who may be struggling with super dry/sensitive skin. If I have a bad flare of eczema and everything else has failed, then I have a steroid cream from my Doctor. I use it very sparingly and only ever for a couple of days at a time, due to the side effects. If OTC products are not working for you, go to a Doctor for diagnosis and/or treatment - it can make a huge difference. Best wishes.

I use the frank body body wash. It claims to be ”clean” but I looked more at the ingredients. The ph is 5.5-5.7 and seems very gentle (looking at the ingredients). You can choose if you want fragrance free or fragrance. I accidentally put it on my face once and it was fine (I think it’s because it’s so gentle). The new in-shower moisturizer looks kinda good too. It’s mostly shea butter

Hi I have super dry skin and eczema - so I understand that drinking water won't fix these issues. I use a cream with 30% urea at night on hands and feet, under gloves and socks - heals up cracks within a few days (SVR Xemose). I use a balm on top of the cream eg Aveeno dermexa balm. Once the cracks have healed up you need an exfoliating foot cream with salicylic acid once a week as part of your foot regime - there are numerous ones on the market. I live in the UK, so the products available to you may be different. The product itself doesn't really matter - it's the ingredients that are important. A high percentage of urea (20 to 30%) softens down the hard/dry skin and allows it to heal. The salicylic acid product gives a stronger exfoliation to stop the build up of the dead cells. I hope that helps.

I've always had this question. Please kindly clarify. Will the penetration of product will be the same as ascending order in the ingredients list. In most of the retinol serums/creams, since we use it in very low percentage, it is far behind preservatives and very near to fragrance (if present) I always wonder if for a retinol to go inside the skin, it should first pass the preservatives and fragrance also. Please kindly talk on this topic 🙏

Any one wondering if Necessaire is cruelty-free. Here is what the brand says: “We have not conducted animal tests for any of our personal care (beauty) products and we will not conduct any animal testing for any future personal care (beauty) products. We will also not sell our personal care (beauty) products to companies and / or countries if animal testing is a prerequisite. We are firmly against animal testing." "The Sex Gel however is not a general personal care (beauty) product. A personal lubricant is considered a Medical Class II Device by the FDA. A personal lubricant is treated like a certain class of drug consumed internally. By law a Medical Device II is required to undergo a one-time small animal test to obtain FDA-clearance. It is not an ongoing test. You will also note that The Sex Gel carries the FDA warnings accordingly.“
