My first Prophet. His message is as strong now as it was then. I love you President Kimball.

My prophet of my childhood as well. I loved to sing the prophet song as a child, and especially when it ended with the name Spencer W. Kimball!

So very true of this day. We need to spread Heavenly Father's words even more now. We are truly in the last days.

On upon watching this talk, I sat and pondered for a bit on how the world is today. It feels like I’ve been in the clouds and Im just starting to see this world in a different way!

My wife and I got married in 2007, and we read his talk about not putting off having children. Our understanding as we read was that we should let no worldly reason prevent us or slow us down. We hadn't known each other for a year yet, and wanted to wait for ~3 years so that we had a firm emotional relationship. But sitting in the temple, we decided to not wait for that. Each pregnancy got more and more dangerous, with the fourth one causing permanent damage to my wife. We decided to get me operated on in order to preserve my wife's life. I suspect President Kimball would disagree with that choice. Other than that early part, I loved the talk.

It's so important that each of us receives personal revelation for these eternal choices. Speaking from experience, nearly losing my wife during her fourth pregnancy and experiencing the full-term stillbirth of our daughter during her second pregnancy made growing our family incredibly challenging, to say the least. We have lost more children than we have alive with us today, but the last couple of children we welcomed into our earthly home came with fewer medical complications. Medical doctors strongly advised against our choices and frequently verbally assaulted me for putting my wife at risk. The decision to have more children was always made together, and we witnessed miracles in our lives that we would never have experienced if we had stopped and listened to the medical experts.

@@TheWordsofChrist If you had just given a discussion in person on this talk and you were having a personal conversion with Jakebentley8105 I would wait patiently and quietly until the two of you were done and I would say, "Sorry, if i'm interrupting, thank you so much for your presentation. I am new to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I loved the talk you shared. Who gave it originally? I would like to read more of this man's words." I hope that by replying here I can get your attention, and ask you to please go back to your video's and add in the description below each video the full name of the speaker and the title of their talks. I am so so appreciative of all of your work done putting this channel together, I've seen about 5 of your videos and I love them. Thank you for clipping and searching and collecting all of these amazing words. But please. for the rookies out here, add the names and titles. Sincerely, your friend, Influenced.

We can only do the best we can as long as it is in keeping with Church standards. You need to live so you can raise your children and be prayerful concerning your family. The world is more wicked than when this talk was given by President Kimball. Our children need a lot of guidelines from both parents in helping them survive this world of wickedness and not believing in the popular belief's of no sin, no God and no devil. Sexual sins are grievous sins and will drag us carefully down to hell.

Incredible! Elder Kimball went hard on the paint, and every word was and is necessary. What would he have felt to see what we have become today? Perhaps, he saw it all, and that is the reason for how plain and clear he is in this address, so that we would be forewarned of how permissive, licentious and perverse today's world would become. We are seeing in full force the consequences of failing to remember and heed this counsel. Most especially, it seems, his admonition towards the "priest", or those to whom responsibility for good and honorable teaching has been given, and have failed to deliver.

What a profoundly amazingly great talk, it reminds me of Nephi when he says “My soul delighteth in plainness unto my people, that they may learn” may we all keep learning and repenting and progressing.

This was a talk given over 50 years ago... Have times become harder, or easier? Compare it to the talks given today, by our prophet Much less direct, very soft and pleasant sounding. Times have become much harder.. yet the message has become softer... Anyone seeing the problem yet? Interesting..
