Nib is such a weird one for Snake eye fiendsmith. They will probably have Flamberge on field before going into baby goddess to bridge into snake eye which helps insulate them from Nib plays

I build myself a goat deck and attend the first goat locals at my local card shop, just slowly preparing for the meta to be unplayable but also building my experimental Kashtira deck since Shifter is too good against most decks 😂 maybe I’ll have a chance against Fiendsmith.

Would Vampire Hunter counter Yubel? I am sure they could go into a non-dark monster, but it just seems like an hallarious thing to see if someone could protect it and have some combo built around him.

@@revengetwofold I just had a really fun game barely beating Yubel as ancient warriors and it showed me a lot of what Yubel can do. There nightmare pain spell has to be removed as quickly as possible, followed by having a counter to super poly and finally a way to either prevent or limit there rank 10 monster plays. banishing as many yubel monsters as possible also helps slow them down and so far I have not seen any card of there that brings back banished cards causing me to think shifter may limit what they can do. kzitem.info/news/bejne/2oiMy4x8jXZ5nKA This is the closest game I have had in a long time, snake-eyes and all of it's variations are easily played around, because they are predictable and I have four videos side swiping them into the ground, but Yubel was down to the very wire. This game should be animated it was so good.

I feel like your reasoning isn’t inclusive of what the meta is shaping out to look like. IMO, Ghost Ogre is going to be insane because against Snake-eye Fiendsmith it can be used to remove either a multi-negate Apollousa or remove I:P and prevent the S:P, and your opponent has no answer to it other than called by and Crossout, which are likely going to see less play with the Fiendsmith engine needing to fit, or if they do see play, players won’t likely have room for Ogres. In both cases, it provides strong removal of an already established board which is much better than gambling on an interruption. As for D.D. Crow, the card has infinite applications. It can hit the Engraver in GY to effectively stop the Fiendsmith engine from being a 1 card combo and requiring your opponent to use a different body alongside the Engraver that Requiem summons. It can also hit Yubel before your opponent has the opportunity to shuffle it back to summon Phantom, which severely hinders their ability to insulate themselves from other hand traps. It has implications against rogue strategies and can prevent you from being puppet locked. Not to mention it’s not once per turn! It has so much more potential than you’re giving it credit. I understand not knowing what the upcoming meta will be exactly, but to put cards like Veiler and Imperm, which are sooo easy to play through now with the Fiendsmith engine, over cards that can have immense value on both your opponents turn and your turn, like Ogre and Crow, I just don’t agree.

so heres the thing, not 1 single hand trap deals with that deck (outside of shifter), imperm and veiler are main deck staples this format imo because they can be used best in conjuction with other hand traps. ogre does kinda the same, and can deal with apo and IP, but so can imperm (in different ways). I think its not a hot take that imperm and veiler have more utility across more matchups than ogre. im not saying dont play ogre, im just saying its going to be mostly played in side decks. because cards like Droll and Nib will likely be in the main in its place. i have no problem with maining ogre, because at the end of the day, the difference it would make over another handtrap is not that significant, but if we see yubel fiendsmith being even more represented than snake eye fiendsmith then i would start maining ogre.

it wasn't in the video, but the new mulcharmy handtrap that draws when you summon from the deck or extra deck is overpowered in my opinion.
@invertbrid

Yep that's almost like instant side deck card in every deck. Maybe even main for decks like tenpai or the ones that can discard easily in case u draw it going first.

Small question: why woukd you Reaper baby goddess while you can just Reaper requiem? 😅
@MattOsheaYGO

the optimal play is the requiem, or lacrimosa (because lacrimosa can get it back). but yeah, you're right

And you should Reaper Requiem as soon as baby Goddess is on the field so they've wasted resources going into it.
