Great video . I really love the JVC DLA-RS2100 ..colors are rich ..blacks and white balance great. Brightness really pleasing .. for some reason I wasn’t impressed with the Sony .. the red was drab and off almost a maroon /black .. the water had a brackish quality on the Sony .. but on the JVC the water seemed healthy , smooth and brighter ..even the ripples were more detailed .. some of the scenes did give Sony a bump , but overall my money would be on the Sony when the price falls to a realistic $7500..

Hey boss, sounds like a nice build. OK so a few things, the JVC Will do a bit better with gaming because of the refresh rate, it’s also a bit brighter. When watching SDR, the Sony may outperform in some scenes, especially with overall Clarity. Both fantastic projectors and for your use, you can’t go wrong either way. They both have lens memory. Hey guys, thanks for watching! The Sony 715ES has a system similar to traditional Dynamic Tone Mapping, called Dynamic HDR Enhancer. Dynamic tone mapping performs incoming signal analytics and ignores some/most metadata, it adjusts brightness on a scene by scene and/or frame-by-frame basis. The JVC NZ7 has Frame Adapt HDR which is very similar and can out perform in some scenes. They both do a very good job in dark scenes. They can out perform some TVs. If you’re very concerned with super bright HDR, keep the screen size for these projectors at 120” or less. We will do a full HDR comparison. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

@@songboek that’s a pretty strong statement my friend, we are not just a review company. We are one of the top professional A/V custom integration companies in DFW. We sell both projectors and have installed many Sony 715 ES units. Are you trying to deny that the unit has Dynamic tone maping using the new X1 chip? Did you have your projector professionally calibrated? I’m not denying that frame adapt HDR may have a slight advantage over the Dynamic tone mapping but they are similar and we are able to achieve a more than satisfactory image from both projectors. Did you watch our video? There’s definitely benefits to both projectors. People need to choose for themselves which is what we said in the video. We also mentioned that they should definitely see these units in person and that we have both on display. I understand your personal experience but to state that we are giving people wrong information is absolutely incorrect. We have far more experience with both projectors than any individual person.

The Sony dynamically adjusts the picture but it technically is NOT doing dynamic tone mapping. If you say it is that is spreading misinformation plain and simple.
