You know what? Kudos to her, and the girl who finished last. They both had some mishaps, and the girl in red is definitely going to be exploring peroxide and large bandaids later, but they both finished. I just started doing hurdles this past track season in my junior year and the first thing the coach said was that no matter what happened, if you finished the race, it was something to be proud of.

@1d0ntc4r3 If you're so obsessed with grammatical errors then maybe you should remember that a sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a dot before you try to look like you're smart. Your comment has actually three sentences. First sentence is a question: ''Wtf?'' You used the correct letters, but forgot to start with capital letter and end with a question mark. Your second sentence should be: ''It's 'your.''' Again the same mistake occurs as the previous mistake except the sentence should end with a dot. Your last second is again a question and should be like this: ''What the actual fk?'' Once again you forgot the capital letter to start the sentence and a question mark to end the sentence. Please fix these errors if you want to seem like a person who knows something about something because all you did here was just making yourself look like an idiot.

The spring of my 8th grade year (1970), I turned out for track. Auditioning for the 120 yard hurdles I fell hard on the first 3, hit several more, and cleared the last few on wobbly legs with skinned legs, arms and palms. I could hear my team mates laughing for the first several hurdles and then there was silence, until I heard the coach yell at me from the starting line. I finished last by nearly 30 seconds. When I'd jogged back to him, coach had me stand on his right and face my team mates, all of them still smirking and laughing. Coach said "I'm proud of you for finishing the race." Turning to glare at my team mates, coach said "he has more guts than the rest of you combined ...". When he'd dismissed the team to the other side of the field for the 60 yard high hurdles, he sent me to the locker room to be bandaged up and said "I want you to try out for the shot put". I never medaled or placed in any event; coaches praise was my only reward and I still treasure it.
