Dude, you’re the only one that has what I needed. I have a KTV set with wireless mic going into mixer similar to yours, but the KTV has mic or rca input to, but doesn’t output to the tv, just it’s own audio. And my tv only has optical out, so I need the two boxes you have there to make my setup work and send it to my soundbar.

The RCA cable come out from your mixer to the stream box (the karaoke channel shows on the Onkyo receiver that you manual typed in) will present the analog signal and not digital, so I'm afraid this connection can't get better surround sound like Dolby 5.1 or DTS, obviously digital signal will represent the surround better, like the output to your Onkyo receiver opt/coaxial/HDMI (ARC) port. Therefore, my question is does the Onkyo receiver with the RCA connection can really do the Dolby digital (PCM) 5.1 surround sound??

I have the same speakers and receiver setup. However, I use a projector instead of a TV. How do I bring the sound from my (firestick/mibox/android tv) into my splitter/mixer?

Appreciate the video...I went and purchased everything in your list and hooked everything up to my Sony STRDN1080 receiver and speakers. However, I haven’t been able to get sound from both tv AND microphone. I can get sound from one but not the other together. I didn’t use a firestick or chrome cast as I’m using KZitem right from my smart tv. Please, any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks watching! You probably need to program your receiver to a dedicated channel/button for your karaoke setup. You could possibly need an audio splitter unless you already have an audio RCA or optical connected from your TV to your receiver already.

Hello, I made the same set up as you showed in the video. However, the sounds (voice and music) is coming through only the two front speakers. There is no sound on the center, subwoofer, and 2 rear speakers. Is there something else I need to do, like do something with my receiver?

Adjust your receiver speaker settings to all speakers. Sometimes it will default to phono, stero, or dolby atoms.

Is the digital converter necessary? What does it do that the mixer doesn’t do?

The digital converted is necessary if you want everything to sound right. It take the digital signal and converts it into an analog one so the mixer can use it. The mixer takes the sound from the TV and sound from the mic and mixes it together. You can also use the mixer to fine tune the sound output.
