I own the VideoMicro and I agree that it has a tendency to dip a little but there's actually a really cool design feature which may save your ass. On the hot shoe mount there are grooves that act as a grip when you're tightening which double up as a cable hold. So pull the cable back to lift the mic, then slot it into one of the grooves and you're good to go!

I hate when every single one "review" only concentrates how these mics are so and so good when you film yourself from arms length while talking the same shit what everyone else does. I want to see how the microphone works when actually filming something around you, not your narcissistic self. And I'm NOT not saying these guys are narcissistic. They just provide the content their viewers tends to look at... So I guess I'm in the minority when actually trying to look for gear that allows me to document things AROUND ME, not myself...

Hi Just a little constructive critic ... trough your video I know that the diety is better but when you test out a 🎤 please do the other tests as well ... like Talking from the side ... like walking and Talking etc coz staying in front of a 🎤 is always almost the same and in your case it’s a 400€ mic vs a 70€ mic so there is not much to compare coz diety is gonna win like 💯 Like the Video and the energetic mood in it 💪🏻

Question for you guys What would be the mm for a camera lens that's more versatile in terms of medium captures to more zoom types. Like if I was going on a trip with lots of wild lifefor example. Nice landscape moment then a beautiful monkey in a tree where I need that zoom ability
@StephenBell_video
5 жыл бұрын
Great question! We'll make an episode on it! Both are extremes, it depends on the camera you're getting. Not brand but sensor size. The best bang for your buck would be to get an APS-C (crop) sensor camera with a telescopic lens that goes anywhere between 12-105mm. I say anywhere because it doesn't have to be exactly those numbers, but it shouldn't stay too far away from it either. Only photography or video too?

Another mic trick you can try is a lav mic with a direct micro SD and match it up to the video in post- extra step but the audio will be precise! Check out the tascam - DR-10L, we did a vlog recently on it, and also will do a comparison with the Sennheiser lav coming up 👍

@@adamcarson9410 I am still looking around. I saw an amazing setup on Fire to Fork 03:51 kzitem.info/news/bejne/pKBtvJyIp6xlg2U but apparently it costs about $1400 which is just a bit more than I can afford. @@StephenBell_video i mean, the test is not working. i can't see the distance between the mic and you two. you don't use the hand grip in the deity, you could test those mics in differents locations or while you are walking. I didn't want to be disrespectful, it's just that if I'm "too lazy for google it" I want to see the product in action. I would have liked the review to show all the versatility of the product to the extreme. for example, how it sounds inside a car, inside the subway, how the microphone sounds 3 meters away from a subject, different scenarios.
