Sorry about that George! These do have Alloy rims. Industry Nine is a very high-end company so anything with a carbon rim and their name slapped on it would be well over the price point of these wheels. The only carbon wheels that will end up under a thousand bucks are Chinese junkers.

Definitely I9’s are some of the best hubs and wheelsets available now. Back when I bought my high end hubs ( Hadley, DT Swiss and Kings) the point was to have precision bearings, higher engagement and a rebuilding life lasting part. Due to the industry it was hard to stay current with frame specs. Hadley actually made replacement axles that converted my QR to a 9mm TA in front and to a 142x12 in back on both my geared and single speed specific hubs. They also came with a Ti free hub that didn’t wear out internally or externally get marred by my cassette or SS cog. I’ve stayed with Hadley for over 12 years

The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. kzitem.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.

I don't think so. These might be exactly what you're looking for. Torch hubs have 120 points of Engagement and these have 90. Unfortunately, industry nine is not offering a sturd wheelset for people 220lb at a reasonable price, at least compared with DT swiss and Hope. I could find wheels DT swiss 1700HX and Hope Forte 30 at ~$800 or less, able to support my weight. Industry 9 goes up to $1500 to offer same capability. I would love to buy I9 because looks great quality, but at least for now... seems not an option compared with these other two wheels, which are also comparable quality.
