I dunno….the best Norm story on Letterman? This is a really good story, but there’s something about the simplicity of his Scrabble story and how it’s such an ordinary story that Norm takes to a whole new level that gets me more than any of his other stories. But I do agree to some degree that this story is really funny.

I so love that man. Don't tell anybody this, and this is a little embarrassing, but I was the bearded fat guy! Please don't tell anyone because, except when I get drunk, I am a deeply closeted homosexual. I don't get drunk anymore, so I don't have to be hypocritical about my claim to be deeply closeted. (The worst part was the hypocrisy.) I'm not gay, as you might think, but I _am_ deeply closeted! Btw, a few days later after rehab (I decided to use the abbreviation for "by the way," so my post doesn't run too long)... Anyway, a few days later (I was still in rehab btw) Norm sent me some flowers and a box of chocolates, but the note said "I'm sorry, Tex," (btw, that's my name)...anyway the note said "I'm sorry, Tex, but I'm not gay, just very deeply closeted -- Norm." So at least we had that in common. He was a sweet, considerate man. Anyway, please don't tell anyone because I am a deeply closeted homosexual, and not a hypocrite (that was the worst part back in the day). Thanks.
